I was on a date tonight. Okay.. technically it was a friendship date. We agreed to meet up and hang out at a coffee shop. At the coffee shop we sat next to each other on a long bench in the center of the area. We connected on a pretty deep level. We wound up chatting for 2 hours.

We were chatting and a preppy, young college couple sat across from us at the bench. Because we were seated at the same bench, I'm pretty sure the entire table could hear our conversation, including this couple.

The guy just continued doing work on his computer with his headphones on. The girl seemed to be doing work on her computer but she kept looking at us while we were talking. I am convinced that she was pretending to have headphones on and was just eavesdropping on on conversation across the bench. We were in close proximity because we at opposite end of the long part of the table rather than the ends.

When we started getting into deeper conversation, all of a sudden the girl across from us stretched out her arms and hugged her boyfriend sitting next to her. She was kind of completely leaning over him on the bench in a kind of possessive or territorial way. We continued our conversation and about an hour later, the eavesdropping girl took her headphones off while we were talking. It was clear she was once again listening even more intently while pretending to work. Suddenly college girl was stretching out her arms again. This time kind of loudly moaning and reaching across the table to hug her boyfriend. Her boyfriend was ignoring her most of the time and just typing. Then she kissed him on the cheek.

What was up with that this eavesdropping girl hanging over her boyfriend in front of us like that? Do girls sometimes get jealous eavesdropping on other dates? I am just wondering if hot college girl thought I was attractive or just insecure about her boyfriend not giving her attention.

So, I'm trying to figure out what happened

But based on this experience I do know a lot more about what I want, don't want and what not to put up with

My ex met my mom, sister and neice, but she didn't bother letting me see her family or even male best friend whose name she mentioned a lot on our dates, even when nudged or asked. She is a gym rat and so is he, they're coworkers at the same college fitness center. They knew each other for 4-5 months prior to our relationship so I know she has much longer friendships. She would tell me about his athletic feats and his "amazing but gross muscles", unsolicited. This specifically was on a date just before meeting my family. I thought I would playfully express honest emotions of jealousy or discomfort to such a topic at that time by saying, "hey I can do that too." But she kind of threw it back in my face as me being a turn off and insecure. She said "You're not the only guy in the world", which registered to me as a red flag, but I didn't want to believe it and took her to meet my family anyway. [Additional question: Was she right? I have read that expressing jealousy is unattractive when your girlfriend reveals her male best friend. But at the same time, when our relationship started, she explicity told me that she had no best friend, but she wished she had one.]

Anyway strangely enough, she has him move into her house with her because his visa ran out. He has a girlfriend and she told me she'd never cheat but I'd still never met him and she doesn't offer. I ask to help move and she says he doesn't have much to move. The school semester starts and she says she'll be busy. I try to give her space. I text something almost every day and call maybe 2 times a week as she ghosts me for three weeks with him in the house. Of those calls, the first one was returned after the first week. But after the third week she dumped me on snapchat, and refused to answer the phone when I called that day. She said the word love creeped her out
