If you're emotionally attracted to someone, likes their personality, have a lot in common with them and likes how they treat others, should you go for a relationship despite not being physically into them?

It doesn't mean they're particularly unattractive to look at and they may be average, but just not your preference appearance wise. They may take good care of themselves, but you're not into their dressing sense or facial features. They may smell decent, but it just doesn't turn you on. They're not disgusting, but not great either. #Dating

Is it true you can get physically into someone after emotional attraction, and that a relationship may be successful? Can you look past their "mehs"?

Say for example, if a man is not really into chasing, should he try to change himself and chase even if it is not in his nature? Or should he adapt and change his approach to dating to fit his nature?

Or with a woman, if she prefers to initiate, should she go ahead and initiate? Or should she try to let the man initiate despite her own preference?

I guess what I am trying to ask is, do you think a person should try to fit what is considered the traditional way of dating, even if it is not who they are as a person? Or do you think they should change their dating strategy to fit their own preferences?

I only ask because I often hear people say things like that a man needs to approach women, even if he is not a chaser, or that a woman who likes to approach needs to stop and let the man do it, and it made me a little curious.

With masculine personality I mean:
Not very talkative - especially not about emotions, not sensitive, fashion, art and aesthetics aren't the most important thing in the world, loves cars, bikes, sports etc., strong, talks roughly, loves gaming.

With masculine looks I mean:
Rough broad facial features, strong jaws, broad shoulders, muscular, short hair, lumberjack clothing, tattoos, piercings.

Example on masculine looking female celebrities:
Brienna (GoT), Casey Legler, Elliot Sailors, Rain Dove and Michelle Obama (if she had short hair).

Examples on feminine looking celebrities:
Angeline Jolie, Keira Knightley, Nathalie Portman, Adriana Lima and Scarlett Johansson.

Emotional, sensitive, talkative, verbal, finds fashion, art and aesthetics important, loves to cook, clean houses etc.

With feminine looks I mean:
Fine small facial features, less strong jawline, less body hair, long hair, long eyelashes, not very muscular, short etc.

Examples on feminine looking male celebrities:
Reeve Carney, Zane Carney, K-pop stars, Petrovich Gesha, young Leonardo Dicaprio, Justin Bieber and Harry Styles.

Examples on masculine looking males:
Older Brad Pitt, Henry Caville, John Cena and older David Beckham.
