Yesterday I posted a picture of me & my friends on my facebook and instagram
And he ALWAYS looks at my stories so he saw the picture

Then today my friend (on the picture) messaged me saying that he added her and then removed the request

And I confronted him:

Me - did u add my friend?
Him - who? Why would I add ur friend?
Me - she screenshotted that u added her and she asked me who u were since we are mutual friends
Him - oh all I remember is that I accidentally added someone on "people you may know" and so I quickly cancelled it
Me - ohok
Him - yeah Im so sorry. Apologies to your friend as well.

She did confirm to me that he cancelled the friend request

Do you think its an accident?
Or on purpose to add her?

I was 17 at the time. My then HS boyfriend's foster mother (he became an orphan as a toddler) wronged me badly. She involved other people into this and tainted my reputation. Our relationship ended because of her. I lost a couple friends because of her.

Many years later (now that I'm married and with two kids), this year I received an apology from her. From the first time ever, there was no excuses, nothing to gain from (in the past she used to turn nice for something in return) and it was short. This is the message:
''(My name) I'm so sorry for everything. No one ever deserves getting treated like that. You weren't the problem. It was me. I don't blame you if you hate me. Once again, I'm sorry for hurting you''.

If it took you that long to know and understand what you did was wrong is it even worth responding to it? I'm not even on speaking terms with that past boyfriend. Is it already too late? I guess I can reply to her. Would you reply to a late apology?

We had a fight Friday and I said something wrong and have been trying to apologize ever since. He just ignored me. I tried apologizing. Finally today he messaged saying you need to stop with the apologies. I asked if he wanted it to end then could we at least end on good terms. He said let it go. I asked him to please talk. He said nothing to talk about. I asked if he really wanted to end things over a stupid statement that was made. I would respect his decision if that’s what he wants but that’s not what I want. He said when he is ready to talk he will text me. So I said okay.
