Recently I have started to notice that my boyfriend phone keeps getting messages/ notification and he is typing often while I’m on call with him. Due to Covid I’m back to my home country and I can’t meet him until I go back. Sometimes he laughs at the message and he wakes up when the phone rings and replys instantly often ( we sleep on call ) I’m worried because I think he is cheating when I confronted he said it’s his cousins in a group chat but I don’t think so. even in past I have seen him texting other girls infront of me. He has always been protective of his phone and doesn’t like it when I see it. He although recently says he regret talking to other girls in past as they were not real but I’m real with him and he only talks to me when it comes to females. But I think he is lying as he has lied to me in past too.

its been about two days that I noticed my boyfriend isn't fine. asked him a couple times if he's okay. he said it is but now he's been doing petty things that is hurting me and indirectly accusing me of lying to him (I didn't). and then last night he left me on seen. he's always been open to me before this. he was trying to appear fine but its pretty obvious he's not. even more obvious after his actions.

all of this hurt me a lot and made me feel upset with him. I really just want to be as petty as him and wait for him to apologize. but I also dont wanna. I wanna be there for him. but I don't know if he even needs me or wants me to. if I was the one who weren't fine I would want him to show he cares. advice pls? should I leave him alone or keep on trying to be there for him (which I know is hard after what he's made me feel lately but ya).

My mother sometimes spends time complaining about fake people and hypocrites. She keeps saying how she has integrity and is always honest.

However, she herself acted like that with my boyfriend, while talking garbage about him not so long ago in early 2019. He views her as a fake person and at some point wants to call her out on her own hypocrisy. He wants to confront her on her rude behaviors in the past and on her fake apology too.

Overall, is it human nature to act and do the very thing you complain about when others do it? She had no problem being a lying, hypocrite to my boyfriend (treating him like garbage) but doesn't like it when others do it.
