Should you be worried if your boyfriend phone keeps ringing and he is texting while being on call with you?

Recently I have started to notice that my boyfriend phone keeps getting messages/ notification and he is typing often while I’m on call with him. Due to Covid I’m back to my home country and I can’t meet him until I go back. Sometimes he laughs at the message and he wakes up when the phone rings and replys instantly often ( we sleep on call ) I’m worried because I think he is cheating when I confronted he said it’s his cousins in a group chat but I don’t think so. even in past I have seen him texting other girls infront of me. He has always been protective of his phone and doesn’t like it when I see it. He although recently says he regret talking to other girls in past as they were not real but I’m real with him and he only talks to me when it comes to females. But I think he is lying as he has lied to me in past too.

He is cheating. Just leave him or get over with him as he is a player

From the things I read (including your replies for the comments below) I am telling what I feel (my opinions, not facts).
Possibility 1: He might be cheating on you. As you told he gets mad when you confront, he might not want to deal with it now.
Possibility 2: He is angry that you are doubting his love on you. so he is getting mad. And coming to social media, he might be hiding it from you since you are feeling insecure but he dont' want to lose his friends.
Look, whatever is happening stay strong. Be emotionally stable. Dont' put faith in him totally as you are not sure about what's going on. Just be in limits and prepare your mind to be stable and accept the fact that there is a chance he might be cheating. If he is not taking care of you then you should take care of yourself right? No one is worth more than your health, remember.

He has family like cousins and his friends are mostly online and some real life yes. He never went to proper college or uni that’s why mostly online friends and I also met him online. But other that also he is fishy and mysterious such as he hides me from his Instagram stories and some how I got to know he was hiding so I tried following him from other account to see what he posts and he posts other girls pictures ( I’m not sure if he knows them or not or it’s just to attract people on his profile and he has a huge following and he pretends to be a player and that he is single like he once posted anyone wants to Netflix and chill this is pretty recent, few days back )

Well I wouldn’t mind if it bothers him I’ll explain him about my calls but he doesn’t explain me properly he just gets mad and calls me toxic or ignores if I ask
