That's my brother's only secret. They've now been married for 12 years; 2 boys. Long ago when he proposed it was a prank but he couldn't go along with it anymore after noticing how emotional she got out of happiness. She never found out it was a cheap, fake ring. He never told her that either. He told her it would be upgraded because the store forgot to add a diamond.

He knew it would be over right there if he had admitted that. He turned it real instead but with an 6 months-old extension since.

Girls if you were happily married with kids, would you like to know your husband's proposal was a prank? Otherwise he's always been honesty. It's only that secret that bothers him at times. Should my brother admit to that or not? Or is that worth taking it to your grave?

Long ago when I was 10, my parents took me to both occupational and speech therapy. I was battling socializing. They removed me from my previous school upon finding out my classmates were treating me horrible. There were only two girls in the class that were always nice to me and they told my parents about the bullying. I went to another school full of new classmates with my similar issue.

Eventually I was able to socialize better by the time I was in High School. I was already placed in regular classes with 30 students. I went unnoticed and no one knew my past. Though here is the issue: I've been masking this whole time to the point I can pass as a typical, outgoing person. Though I'm exhausted by the time a party or large social gathering ends and really need some quiet time by then. I already know how the environment operates, went over many scripted conversations and scenarios during the whole time my therapists helped me and also gained experience over time.

However, I'm aware this is strongly genetic. My paternal grandmother had that too and so does my mother's aunt. So yes there is a chance my child can inherit this from me. I'm currently going out on a date and seems like we might get in a relationship soon. Should I share this information at some point? My parents think that's something no one else needs to know.

What if I never tell him that and then years later, we have a child and he/she ends up having my same social disorder? Would you want to know this if you were my boyfriend?

Too many people put so much credit on having a major, never using drugs, never stealing nor going to jail.

Yet, can you still be a trashy, rotten person even if you fit all the above? Just because you have several degrees doesn't mean you can still be a horrible friend or partner. Never getting arrested for crimes, not doing drugs nor stealing is really just the bare minimum in life.

My first boyfriend (now ex) was all that and he still was a lying, cheater. I learned years later, he cheated on his next girlfriend and got the other woman pregnant. He's a physician but a terrible partner; a cheater. He used to talked about how his parents raised him right. LOL.

And if you’re single, thinking about the people you usually date… are you normally the funnier one, are they, or is it pretty equal?

I don't know I feel like every relationship has someone who just naturally keeps the other person laughing.

My boyfriend has this girl who he knew for like since they were high school. Is it normal for them to talk to each other? There's one time he message that girl when were fighting on that day. Once in a while, they always update each other.

Someone pointed out to me that i'm a hero... always strong and several other things that I'm sure they meant as a compliment... but even as I politely thanked them a part of me was rather sad.

Why sad? I thought about how nice it would be to HAVE a hero on my side rather than just always having to be the one to step up to a challenge. It would be nice to have some down time with a "partner in crime" who has my back would be so cool.

For now, though, constantly carrying on as if nothing was bothersome about it at all. Most days it's fine, but some days... 🤷🏻‍♀️
