Boyfriend spends too much time on his phone?

So I recently visited my boyfriend of 6 months, who lives about 40 min away. I noticed he spends a lot of time on his phone, either checking is Facebook, emails, or playing video games. He knows we only get to see each other on the weekends, and one day during the week. I felt like his phone was more exciting than spending time with me, cuddling and watching a movie. He knew it bothered me. It's such an empty feeling to have and I think it's just plain rude and inconsiderate.
Has anyone else experienced this? How did you bring it to your partner's attention and has it gotten better, worse, or no change at all?

You get to see him 2 days a week max and he spends a lot of time on his phone/tech? He's got 5 days a week to do that. If that's the way he is, either get used to it or move on. Seems like that's just the way he is so accept how he is or make a change.

I feel it's only fair that he compromises. I'm not saying give it up entirely when I'm around, but to limit his time on his phone. He is in a relationship after all.

I know exactly what you mean. Feel like he is dating his phone more than spending quality time with you. To me, a person who doesn't pay you no mind will make you feel lonely even though you are with the person.
