boyfriend is overprotective of his phone?

We have been together for 2 years and I have always felt a weird tension with his phone. Early in our relationship I asked to let me see his phone because he was acting very protective over it. Mind you i only asked because he was acting suspicious and he never gave it to me and he said it was the principle behind it. That tore a little bit of my trust away from him and I learned to let it go. But there have been similar situations where he has been so weird with his phone. For instance we were driving somewhere and I knew the directions and was about to turn the gps off on his phone but he became really protective over me touching his phone. Similarly yesterday we went out to eat and we decided to create a food blog. We uploaded the pics and all and when i got in the car I thought why not just write a small blog while we drive. And as I took his phone to write the blog he took it back and said no not right now. Am i just crazy or is he really protective over his phone? I've had these gut feelings as well about him being unfaithful and I have no proof and cannot put my finger on it but these things just dont seem to help.

It may not be that he is unfaithful, but he may have pictures or search history of things that he is ashamed of. It may be a fetish he isn't proud of and doesn't want you to know or it may be that he takes pictures of himself.

Could be tons of things really... have you tried asking him why he is protective of his phone?

It's probably just something that he is ashamed of. If it is something that deeply worries you, it's best to have a nice long conversation about it with him

Could be a bad thing he thinks you will over react about on there. I know I would be overly protective of my phone in the car because if she flipped I can't just kick her out (I have tried) or it could actually be the principle of it for him.

I’m very protective of my phone.. I have a best friend who is a guy and I met him online and I know my husband if uncomfortable about his often we communicate and I don’t want him to see that the other guy is my bestie on snap chat 🙄.

My phone coat me £800 and guess who uses it, me and only me. It's the principle. It's something that is his and not yours. It's probably the only part of his life that you aren't involved in and wants to keep it that way

It can mean 2 things. He either doesn't trust the fact that he is good enough, and hides something form you because he would feel ashamed of himself, or he is trying to hide something actually bad 🙄

I do think he is overprotective, unless there is a reason. I don't like people touching any of my things, simply because I'm a bit of a germophobe. Else I couldn't care less if my s. o. wanted to use it.

I never let anyone else use my phone, ever, and I've never been unfaithful, nor do I have anything on there I shouldn't.

I just don't like people touching my phone for any reason.
