It is normal to miss your partner after just a few days?

I am spending the Friday and weekend in another country, and to be honest I am missing my wife badly.

I don't know why I am such a sucker, but every time we separate I miss her so much. My traveling companion (a business associate) is doing her best to make me visit her city (Budapest) and have some fun between work appointments, and even showed me a couple of shops where I bought some gifts for my wife and my children.

I had a short call with my wife and as always she is touched I miss her so much, but she also jokes that trips in another country are meant for "hotel affairs" and I'll scare off any interested Hungarian lady if I keep putting a long face and talk about her and how I miss her. That made me laugh, but I wish so much she would be here with me.

My husband leaves often for work. I've learned that it's always the first week or so that's the hardest then I get use to him being gone and even seems weird when he comes back lol. But yes it's normal to miss each other even if it's just for a few days.

Yeah I missed my partner as soon as I drove from her house after dropping her off, but personally I don't think I'd ever joke around about having affairs with other women. Especially not while I am in a relationship/marriage and have a child with her. Something just doesn't seem right about that. But I'm not the one to judge someone's humor lol, at best it sounds like she always loves to keep you happy

The only time I missed my parter was a mile and a half shot in a stage 2 hurricane. Wind was crazy. I barely missed her but had I hit her me and my kids would have been on easy street with the life insurance
