So me and my boyfriend always talk on the phone every night and sometimes we argue about little things.. big things..
Then today, we got into an argument again
This was our conversation:
Him - so are we still going to watch movie with your friend and her boyfriend this week?
Me - yeah i think so
Him - i haven't seen him for a while. I wanna wear a tight shirt so he can see that I've been training hard and gotten bigger than before
Me - why u showing off for?
Him - what? Why do u think im training hard nowadays? I want to show everyone my body. To boost my confidence. Oh and one more thing, dont ever tell me what to wear again. You did that last time and it pissed me off. Dont control me.
Me - how am i controlling you? I only asked why u wearing better clothes when people we know are coming with us and u dont dress up when only us are going out
Him - coz we have been together for over a year. I dressed up in the beginning of our relationship and now we are used to each other. And i dont wanna look like a homeless person infront of your friends and other people we know. I dont want to embarrass you infront of them. Dont u get it?
Me - i just thought that you wanted to impress my friends and not me
Him - its not about impressing.. its different. And dont ever make me feel insecure around you again. Because if i feel insecure around you, i dont wanna be with you anymore. You can't control me and tell me what to wear, how to look. I wanna do my own thing. Let me do my own thing. If i was to pick gym or you, i would pick gym. I would pick my body obviously. Thats how it is.
Me - so im your last priority? You put your hobby infront of me
Him - its not a hobby.. its a passion. I love the gym. You can't make me quit it. Im not saying you're my last priority or putting it infront of you. Im just telling you its my passion
Should i be hurt and upset by this?
I was offended and hurt
I started crying and then he started to soften up abit
Does this mean he doesn't care about me?

I'm not very experienced in the love department. I've only had 2 serious boyfriends and I've been with the same person for 4 years now, he's the first guy I've lived with, first guy i've been in bed with, basically my first everything, and it got a little shaky a few days ago with us because of hurricane IRMA, but I'm at a crossroads right now between following my education and following love. (feel free to ask for more details on this if you are interested, or share your opinion on which one is the road to take and why, wisdom helps me in scenarios like this.)

but I've heard from older couples who I feel are very happy, and each of them said that they were best friends with their S. O. and then kind of accidentally fell in love along the way. I noticed that these couples like this may bicker and argue but it's not as hostile as other kinds of couples.
I figure it's probably because they got to learn more about each other's personality, quirks and faults BEFORE having the confines of a relationship to keep you down.

So first off, me and my boyfriend been together for over a year
Few weeks back we have been going through some ups and downs.. arguments and all.. which led to a break up last week
But we got back together 2 days later
Ever since we got back together, its been quite good now.. we dont argue anymore and he's still affectionate towards me, still tries to spend time with me often and still calls me everyday to talk and check up on me as usual
So anyway, i went on his facebook profile today (coz I was bored)
And i saw that he still has a picture of us BUT he put it on private (only i can see it, not his friends)
Before all his friends can see it but i realized he changed it to private
And also statuses that he tags me on (he put them on private too)
So I got furious and paranoid and thinking he's cheating on me and that he doesn't want anyone to know that we are back together
I called him and this was our conversation:
Me - do you have someone else?
Him - wtf? No. Why would u say that?
Me - why is our picture on your facebook private then?
Him - what? No its not
Me - yes it is. Go check
Him - ok let me check... oh right custom. Maybe coz we broke up back then but okay, I will put it on public now. You happy now?
Me - are u sure you dont have any other girl?
Him - what? Man no i dont. If i did, i wouldn't spend time talking to you, seeing you. I would be with her. I have nothing to hide.
Me - ok
Him - anything else? Coz i dont want you talking shit about this again when we see each other on the weekend. I have nothing to hide. You can see my phone, i dont care. We can swap phones, whatever. I dont have anyone else ok. I dont even have time for 2 girls anyway so wth. Just dont be so insecure.
Me - ok whatever
Him - is that all? Can i go back to work now?
Me - yeah okay
Him - can't believe you called just for that *laughs* you're funny
Me - I got cheated on before by ex.. so ofcourse im paranoid!
Him -yeh i know.. anyway gotta go to work.. bye babe, love you
Am i overreacting?
