People who have practiced krav maga before, wouldn't the thighs of the attacker absorb most of the force if someone tries to groin kick the attacker?

So since, the thighs come in the way of the groin, I feel like it will absorb most of the impact and if the attacker is a woman, would it even be possible to hit the groin since women tend to have even wider thighs?
