In the interest of fairness, why not have men's sports, women's sports and biological women's sports?

The issue of how to classify athletes in sports has been a topic of debate and discussion for many years. One of the main reasons that we currently have separate men's and women's sports is to ensure fair competition. In general, men tend to have certain physical advantages such as greater muscle mass, strength, and aerobic capacity, which can give them an advantage in sports.
However, transgender and intersex athletes can present challenges in determining which category they should compete in. If we were to have separate men's sports, women's sports, and biological women's sports, it could be seen as discriminatory towards transgender and intersex athletes who may not fit neatly into these categories.
Instead, some sports organizations have adopted policies that allow transgender athletes to compete in categories consistent with their gender identity, while also ensuring fairness in competition. For example, some organizations require that transgender women undergo hormone therapy to lower their testosterone levels to below a certain level for a specified period of time before they can compete in women's sports.
It's important to remember that the goal of any sports classification system should be to ensure fair competition and provide opportunities for all athletes to participate and excel, regardless of their gender identity.
Why would it be discriminatory? Under the current plan? Biological men are competing with biological women. Under my plan. They could still do the same thing.
The issue of discrimination arises because transgender women are not biologically male, despite being assigned male at birth. Transgender women who have undergone hormone therapy and/or gender reassignment surgery have similar levels of testosterone and muscle mass to cisgender women, and therefore do not have an inherent advantage over their cisgender counterparts. Excluding transgender women from women's sports solely based on their assigned gender at birth is considered discriminatory by many, as it denies them the opportunity to participate in sports that align with their gender identity.
Then let them compete with people in the same boat as them.
Mens sports, women's sports, trans men sports and trans women's sports would be fine. Give them their own categories. Trans women should not be competing with women, it's totally unfair.
I agree with you 100%, but the trans community would riot in the streets at that suggestion. What you were suggesting would make it fair. The trans community doesn't want or have they ever wanted fairness.
That's good news.
Men's sports should be biological males only and women's sports should be biological females only. People should only be allowed to compete in their category. It's very unfair to female athletes when trans women compete as females. It's insane that there are people who actually support it.
I see no problem with having an "open" category that anyone could choose to complete in, but I doubt it would take off.
I'm sure you're right. No one would want the open category. And I agree with what you said about making it fair. But I think that ship has sailed and it'll never go back that way. Riley Gaines is a biologically female swimmer. She's been going around to colleges speaking out against the unfairness. For that, she was attacked by a man in a dress who punched her in the face. The last I heard the school isn't going to take any disciplinarian action against the man that assaulted her. Because the trans people are never in the wrong.
because it might hurt some precious snowflake's feelings. you can be mentally a woman or whatever all you want, but your muscles, lungs, etc.. are still that of a man's.
also, unrelated, but where can you take boxing lessons while wearing a bikini? asking for a friend.

There are already men's and women's sports. It doesn't matter how many dudes play dress up and are advertised as women, no man is ever going to consider them women.
The woke won't be happy until the absolutely destroy women's sports.
The best way for women to fight this is to stop competing with men. So in that respect, I don't have any sympathy for them.
As long as the biological women's sports come with the same advsntages (scholarships, money, endorsements etc) as the "womens" sports category I would be good with that.
That's actually a good point, and I didn't really think about that. I guess I just assumed that people wouldn't be heartless enough to cut women out of women's sports. But I bet they would.
Isn't it redundant to say women's sports and biological women's sports? Only biological women are women.
I HATE attempts to call trans-women women and to treat them as such.
Why not have men's sports, women's sports, and trans sports? Although I see no reason why women and trans should be barred from men's sports because there would be no competition. Let them try. They would fail in anything that required strength and size.
Are you trying to say that you feel that women should compete against men in football and boxing and in other sports? Well they do that in NASCAR racing.
No, I'm saying that biological men compete against biological men, and let biological women compete against biological women. Then you can add a third category that's kind of a free-for-all.
height weight strength same reason boxing has weight classes. in general men are stronger then women due to biological reasons
True
Just have sports. No genders, lock rooms have individual stalls with their own locks.
I would love to see that happen. Then all the women would quit and the trans women would quit. Then all there would be left is men's sports. Then the woke can explain how they manage that.
why not just stop wasting money on womens sports period, they're economically a total loser

Are you blaming me? If it were up to me, there would be no amateur sports.
Great idea!
