Parents find families with similar family/religious values, they then arrange a date to see if they like each other and click. So they still have the choice.

I think it’s a great idea. I used to be anti it, but looking at how messed up dating is nowadays maybe this is my only hope. There’s no good women left, just women with a bad history.

They are also much more likely to last.

The only relationship I've ever been in, we met and had sex the same night. Love came soon after, but we started from a point of intimacy. I don't know a ton about history but there have been a lot of arranged marriages, and going back to prehistoric days I'm willing to bet there were a lot of marriages/ permanent partnerships that started this way. Obviously the flip side is this is a roll of the dice, I just lucked out when I made it.

I know a lot of these won't work out, and with arranged marriages the element of choice is taken out entirely, which is bad. But my experience makes me feel like society places way too much emphasis on the semi-formal process of dating, engagement, and marriage with sex acceptable at some point within the range but not at the start.

Also people seem hung up on the time frame each of these things should take, though honestly dragging out the dating phase doesn't seem to do anything to make the marriage, if it happens, any stronger. You might hook up with the wrong person but you also might date the wrong person for an extended time.

Let's say your child is around 20-25 and has a bad history of falling for the wrong people who had hurt them time and time agian, or just has shitty taste (fuckboys, gold diggers, cheaters, abusers, thugs/criminals, etc.). So you decide to step in and do something about it. Would you set them up on a date with someone who you know would be great with them?

Or perhaps this instead: A "Parental Control" style series of dates where you let them choose between a number of men/women you picked out for them. Keep in mind that you chose these men/women for your child because they were much more compatible than your child's exes and wouldn't hurt them.

Note: I am NOT talking about forcing them into an arranged marriage, just setting them up on dates.

This question is not meant to be offensive it's just a question. So a hijab is an Arabic religious headscarf that middle eastern women wear that only shows the face for cultural or religious reasons but I've seldom seen one or two in United States, I've heard that Islam doesn't allow dating only marriage but I honestly don't know how that works in United States because most people aren't Muslim even me I'm Atheist actually and It's been centuries since any American has done an arranged marriage. I guess I don't mean too much by all that I'm just a history buff lol!

I personally would not date a girl that wears a hijab because I'm Atheist, and I don't agree with covering a girls head like that I want to see her pretty hair.
