So I got a call about a job yesterday but I missed the call and the guy left a message with the store number and his extension number. I just called the number he left, he didn't answer but in his answering phone he gave his mobile number. Should I call the mobile number or should I just call back the store and leave a message on his phone there?

I am a Master's student who wishes to get PhD. Intellectual compatibility is really important for me.

I want to be with someone who understands what I'm doing, because I'm really passionate about my subject. An ideal situation would be when he's also in same field as me- whoaw aware of whole research culture n everything.

I have stated my preference multiple times on GaG and always got a lot of hate for it.

So it's okay to have preference for race and looks but not okay to have preference for college degree?

Do you think they regularly look down on each other in some ways, maybe without even realizing it?

I'd like to think no. But in reality, I don't think that's the case.

I want to study medicine abroad, like in Europe. Spain is my favorite one, germany comes second. (I kind of know how to speak spanish). Everyone says it's a bad idea because I'll miss my family and it will be hard and blabla, so I'm not sure anymore. Also, in Canada, we have one of the highest needed GPA to get in medical school.

The max is 40, and they barely accept 34. Even if you get accepted with a 34, you need to ACE the interview.

I want to learn Spanish fully, i want to travel and i certainly want to move away from where I live (canada). (it's too cold and no sun. No sun gets me depressed. My province has the highest level of depression.) Anyway!

So I verbally consented to the job and Im waiting on my background check.
I know for a fact I have a squeaky clean record.
I even got a background check mailed to me from another job I was going to take but declined and everything said I passed.
My new job background check only asked for my previous addresses.
It didn't ask for my work history or anything.
I put my current address and the last two addresses I stayed at for the past 3-4 years.
But I forgot my actual home address at my moms that I stayed at for majority of my life!
What's going to happen? :(

We all know that rainbows contain red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, that's how sir Isaac Newton named them
But where IS the violet?

In the picture, you can see the real visible spectrum which is what you see when you see a rainbow, but note that there is no violet at all! How come we (wrongly) think that violet is in the rainbow?

So I will be going to interviews for my work term in IT, and I was told that it is a formal dress code. I really like the look of the 3 piece suit, and tie I find it really classy, and cool.


This isn't totally what I was imagining, but it is pretty close. If a tie is a bit too much, I am for the bow thing she has on the go.

My main concern is because I have short hair, and I am thinking about dressing more masculine that companies will think that I am one of those whiny SJW "transgender" brats (which I am not).

So do you think women wearing a tie to a formal interview is appropriate?

P. S. I have been told that the companies tend to be conservative.

I personally miss the days before I became a cheerleader. Being a normal... Well... normalish kid, having free time. Lol but older generations miss everything... wbu?
