I asked this question in reverse (I. e. a shy guy) a while ago. Would be interesting to see if the responses change this way around.

soo, i got this anxiety about misreading situations and social cue's and thus embarrassing myself, furthermore I was raised in a rather old-fashioned household which implied heavy emphasies on being a gentleman and being very well mannered, which is why asking if I can kiss the girl seems like a better option to me considering the aforementioned points.

but I want to ask whether girls would like that in general, or would it kill the romantic mood or whatever hollywood has kinda put its dent in these kinds of situations by having one of those scenes where they lock eyes and they immediately know they wanna swallow each others tounge

Some people have “ribbing” yet teasing attitudes towards other people particularly of opposite gender and/or people they are interested in. It’s like teasing your crush to show confidence and/or get them to open up their more “real” side. It can also be about testing people by playing hard to get to see if they can “handle you”.

Women often do this to men to as quasi shit test to see if they are smart ass enough to deal with their sassiness. Men do this to women as a sign of confidence and/or to give off a slight asshole vibe because they know many girls like that.

But I noticed this is more common in some parts of the country (and world) than others. Los Ángeles and New York City are notorious for this.

Personally I never liked it. Unless the girl hits the absolute right teasing chemistry and I’m in the mood to banter it’s doesn’t get me turned on. Different if I’ve already known her for a bit and we are already well acquainted. But if I’m interested I am not looking to play faux asshole just to create a jibe to be more interesting. Rather have a real conversation with maybe some practical joking about other things besides each other.

But I think some men and women always start out with joking and slightly hard to get attitude when they like someone. It also their way of avoiding being boring at all costs.

So did men do this in response to what women want or vice versa?

and I'm not sure if this is a stupid question but basically I have a girl best friend and she was signing up for something then asked if she could send me a screenshot of her phone number so she could type it down and copy it
She didn't delete it and she has been getting comfortable with me lately so does this mean anything? Is this a smart way into giving someone your number? Thanks

An example, One guy told a woman who was wearing a dress, that she looked pretty, and asks what's the occasion,(or something like that) and she paused, for a second, and explained that she went to dinner with her family, and kept talking.
