Is it just me or do other girls also get hit on less when they put in more effort into their outer appearance?

for my friends and I when we don’t go all out we get hit on more but when we do, we don’t get that attention from guys as much.

We always hear that the more perfect and beautiful you look, the more guys flock to you. I’ve heard that guys love beautiful women and guys on here say that all the time too. So then why do guys not notice us when we are looking our best?

Women are hotter the less they put in so probably why. It's not really news that most things girls do to look better makes them look worse. But they just do it to feel good apparently, at least that's what they say when I point out stuff that makes them less attractive.

Guys do not flock to women.

Beauty is coveted yes, but we wait to see if she is interested before we show any interest, and for people like me, who care about both looks and hobbies/personality, we wait until we know you well, and you've shown interest in either us, or you have shown interest in having someone like us.

Otherwise it's safer to assume you're taken and just not bother.

Also makeup is fake beauty, no one likes false advertizing.

Guys like girls that are naturally pretty. They don't like a lot of makeup, botox, expensive outfits and high heels that make them look short.

Clearly what you think makes you look good isn't what men like. It's what fashion designers and merchandisers tell you is beautiful so that they can sell product and clearly most men in the fashion industry are homosexuals. If the fashion industry told you to walk around with a strap on dildo on your crotch would you do it? I hear gay dudes like cock. I'm surprised they haven't told you that it would be trendy yet... If you keep going down this road you'll have to match your strap on to your heals... I find more casual/lower maintenance women to be more approachable. so its a balance between the two. The most attractive look to me is a "natural" look with understated makeup and a base that matches her natural skin tone. and yes, i realize that can be a pain to pull off
