In the hustle and bustle in every day, what with schedules and appointments, running late, I catch myself eating out or carrying out a lot. What with all the things I have to do when I get off work? Sometimes, I just don't want to cook. Don't get me wrong, I love cooking breakfast for the family (sometimes just cereal and fruit if during the week) and making my daughter's lunch in the morning for school, but there are times I would much rather give her lunch money and pickup something for dinner too. I do cook on the weekends often and throughout the day! Also, I do like cooking dinner sometimes during the week. What about you? I'm about 50/50.

Not the poncy French pastry type, a proper British rissole that you get from the chippy when you haven't got enough cash to buy a fish. Rissoles, (from the Latin russeolus) are a mix of corned beef and potato rolled into a ball or pattie and coated in breadcrumbs before being fried in oil. They can also be made using cheese in place of meat.

They are most popular in North East England and South Wales and are thought to arrived with Italian migrants. As well as the chippy you can buy them at markets or prepacked to cook at home if you're too dumb to roll mash into a ball.
