Have you ever made non-churn ice cream?

In yesterday's "what am I making" question I showed some cream, honey, yogurt etc and many of you rightly guessed ice cream, or iced honey and orange loaf as the recipe calls it. You'll be pleased to know that's the last "What's it going to be" question.

But it does lead on to today's question Have you ever made non-churn ice cream and how did it turn out?

There's lot's of recipes out there for non churn ice-cream substitutes where you just whisk ingredients together then freeze. The most well known is to put bananas in a blender then freeze.

I've tried quite a few over the years and if I'm honest found them all, including yesterday's, to be rather disappointing. But then I am an ice cream snob.
