Britain has the best food in the world and at no time is this more evident than at Christmas. Here are a few examples of the finest Christmas cuisine that'll be gracing tables up and down the country.

But which looks the best?

I rarely drink alcohol, but I've tried scotch, and it's absolutely foul. One of the worst things I've ever tried.

Black pudding is of course delicious pigs blood cooked into a sausage. But to add a bit of texture and make it moist barley and chunks of fat are added. How fatty your pudding is depends on the brand or butcher and some people prefer to see big chunks of white fat. Personally I prefer a more even distribution of little pieces.

So how do you like yours?

Overcooked beans in a sugary low quality tomato sauce, who on earth actually likes these things? Now, I can stand a small scoop on a plate along as they're lifted and drained from the orange gloop they come in, but they must not touch anything else.

Cassoulet is OK, it's drier, the beans firmer, and it's not swimming in sickly sweet ooze. Baked beans are children's food and adults shouldn't eat them.

I think we can all agree the sausage and bacon are essential components of a proper breakfast. Black pudding is a bonus. But what's the worst bit, the ingredient that shouldn't take up plate space.

It's said there be three types of cider; singing cider, sleeping cider, and fighting cider. But I'd add a forth, shagging cider.

What type of cider do you prefer?

(Note to Americans: cider is an alcohol beverage made from apples, apples are a type of fruit but don't worry they're harmless and you may have eaten one in a pie.)

'Tis mulling season and pots of wine be simmering over a log fire up and down the land. Some say it's just a way of using up cheap wine but I say silence miserable sods for it's the season to be merry.

But how do you make your mulled wine?

In a previous question, I asked if you could tell the difference between different flavoured jelly beans. Now the pot claims there are 36 flavours inside. But the ingredients only list 9.

Concentrates of carrot, pumpkin, spirulina, radish, apple, black currant, and hibiscus.

It seems to me they're cheating by just blending other ingredients together and I'm not actually getting popcorn, passion fruit, salted caramel etc. Needless to say I feel cheated and will be demanding to see the manager.

So, have you ever felt cheated when the ingredients don't match the description on the front? Have you ever substituted fennel for star anise, and did you get away with it?

A man has been awarded £2 compensation after being traumatised by a smooth Mars bar. Poor Harry had been looking forward to wrapping his lips around the thick veiny thick chocolate bar. But as he peeled back the wrapper and it popped out his heart was broken at the smooth featureless offering before him. Harry gazed in disappointment before saying, "what's the point," and who can blame him.

But faced with the same dilemma would you have gobbled down that smooth bar or sought satisfaction elsewhere?

I'm munching my way through a pot of jelly beans which are supposed to be different flavours as indicated on the side of the pot. As I flick my bean into my mouth I'm trying to guess what flavour it's supposed to be, I'm not doing very well.
