What do you serve with Christmas pudding?

This year our "guests" will have the choice of either Baileys Sauce or Ice Cream... Brandy Sauce or Cream... Rodda's Clotted Cream... Plain Vanilla Ice Cream... Hot Custard... Talk about being spoilt for choice!
Of course, that's if there's anything left of it, once it's been "set on fire" having poured the brandy over it and lighting it!
That sounds very nice
@butterly248
And jolly "hard work" to go with it! lol
I've never had that kind of pudding but brandy butter sounds delicious
You know, I just got back from London and I forgot to ask someone what pudding is. In the States, it's made by the Jell-o company. The recipe is:
1. Add 2 cups of milk to a measuring cup
2. Add instant pudding
3. Mix for three minutes
Doesn't surprise me that the British would set it on fire.
In the UK a pudding is a type of cake that's cooked either by steaming or wrapping in cloth and boiling. You can get both sweet types or ones filled with meat. We do have the American version but we call it angel delight.
Oh thanks @purplepoppy! I did find a place that sells it. I never tried jellied eels, but I did post the rant about Europe I promised you, if you want to check out my question on my profile.
Christmas pudding, pudding in general or any Christmas recipes in fact are unknown to me, the only ritualized food I have experienced for Christmas is about oysters and salmon.
Vodka margarine looks fantastic though☝️
A traditional Christmas pudding pairs beautifully with a few classic accompaniments. A smooth brandy butter imparts a rich, boozy indulgence. Warm custard brings a comforting, creamy touch that complements its dense texture. Enjoy a dollop of clotted cream for a luxurious, silky contrast. I remember one Christmas in England, where the pudding was flambéed with brandy, creating a dazzling display before relishing in these delightful pairings. 🎄

Omg this looks so delicious. I've never had "Christmas pudding". Our go to dishes have always been strawberry/banana pudding, peach cobbler and sweet potatoe pies with ice cream.
I would say butter and big glass of milk syrup I'm not sure but I would like to taste that for sure
We don’t have pudding for Christmas dessert we have the highest quality dessert that you can imagine in America
But we have fruit cake for snacks we like that
Brandy butter sounds good =) 🎄
My family has always used custard
