I'm already pushing 40 and I can't believe how so many women within my age bracket are already post the wall.

still in a few more years women in their 20s are gonna be young enough to be my daughters and I can't see myself being with a woman who is young enough to be my daughter but I can already hear my mom and the rest of my family members ridiculing me for having such "low standards" and wasting my time with an "old lady."

I already seen this happening with my other male relatives

We were dating back when we were in our late teens and we were both in love. Shit happens and drama and we broke up really badly, i moved to an other country etc etc.

There have been a couple of times in the past that she would drunk text me and the next day she would be cold or straight ignore me. In 2019 I went back to visit my family and friends and a mutual friend told me she wanted to pick me up from the airport but he was against it and stopped her.

We talked slightly through social in 2023 since I talk with her brother rather frequently and she was pissed at me cause a girl was flirting me a lot. Most likely she heard about it from her brother.

Fast forward to this year, she suddenly sent me a message in February we had a rather long conversation, we talked about our lives how it is going, she told me about her relationship of eight years and how bad it was etc etc.

Three days ago she sent me a new message and almost right away she started talking about sex and such. I told her that this kind of behavior is stupid and she should be more considerate of her boyfriend, then she told me she broke up with her a few days after we talked on February.

I confronted her about the rather sudden sexual topic and she replied this is the best way to grab the attention of men and I replied yeah if they are desperate, otherwise it feels stupid and I was seriously thinking of blocking her.

The nest day she was asking me to talk on the phone and she was worried I wouldn't want to cause she was drunk last night and she blew it. The call was around thee hours long and she was telling me she liked my straightforward attitude, my humour etc etc.

It was rather fun I have to admit but she was really reserved cause she was worried I would get annoyed and hang up.

The day she sent me a few pics and was trying to revive a dead fb group that we both belong and included me in a post.

That night I sent her a message if she wanted to talk and she was rather distant.

What is going on?

I saw a rather sad post the other day that said that women are given so much positive reinforcement gets so much positive attention that the slightest bit of criticism will destroy their self esteem and that men are so starved of positive affirmation that the slightest compliment will make their day, week, month or decade.

This is back to front given men are the ones actually building and creating a society that is functional, provided for and running safely on the whole that continues to make improvements and women are not infallible but bring the human part of humanity into existence through their nurturing and caring at the foundation of life.

Compliment someone, don't fight or bicker. We're all paddling in the same seas

I've had a lot of my mom's besties always get flirty with me and are usually too inviting towards me. not sure if they want me or I just remind them of their children since it was always common for hispanic women to have children at the same time as all their other besties and usually they've helped one another raised their children.

this also makes me realize that despite their son's being old enough to have sex that perhaps if they do such a thing that they may betraying their besties by doing such a thing. but I dont know as I do see a lot of these so called besties betrayed one another all the time

Things like owning stuffed animals, dressing like a child, the "I'm just a girl" trend in general, using childish speech and baby talk among other things
