(FL), 27F I feel like this is the tightest I’ve been with money in a while. I used to have 5-6K in the bank and after quitting a job I was unhappy at, I was unemployed for almost 6 months and had to take care of myself. Flash fwd to present, I have about 1.5K saved up and $100 in cc debt (I took out a personal loan to pay off the remainder).

I make about $18 an hr, 40hr work week, my mortgage and HOA fees went up to around $1200 a month. My ‘13 Hyundai is paid off, with the HOA fees going up after I had to put payments on pause because of having no job plus having to pay the loan back is not helping.

I’ve only seen kids delivering papers on in and they are always on bikes, I wonder how it worked. Seems like a great job for the restless and in need of money 😅

I LOVE walking. I think I would’ve loved that kind of job as a kid where you move and make money, I’d like to have walked it, but I’m wondering:

What was the distance you covered per route, in miles?

How long did it take you?

Cohid you take on more routes if you wanted or was there a limit per kid?

How heavy were the papers?

How many days did you work?

How did you get paid?

I've already read about the breed, have a very active lifestyle (I like exercising), have all the time and space available to train it and have an assertive/firm personality by nature.

The puppy will be 8 weeks next Tuesday and will buy it. I know it's going to grow up to be a very strong breed and I'm aware it's my responsiblity to teach it to be good. Even though this will be my first time owning a dog, I feel very confident.

Is it ok to start with a strong dog breed if you're very confident?

Note: If anyone wants to know which one I want to buy... it's the very breed that some people hate and has been given a bad repuation over the years. I don't believe so. I'm starting with that breed as a first timer.

This question is one where I have no way of answering myself but I was curious to ask regardless.

I think we are pretty much left to on our own, to sort out this side of life through trail and error— if even that. I think many people will go to their grave not even having rally been safe if what they needed emotionally. I recall reading when I was a kid that children need a minimum of 13 affectionate touches a day. I told my my great grandmother (who actually was the one affectionate person is ever known) would jokingly tap me 13 times every morning on my head 😂 I don't know where in the world they came up with that number it’s just funny bc it’s so ridiculous but was said with authority.

Anyhow I feel like a lot of people would be calmer snd happier and more helpful to others live healthier & probably longer, if that side of life was smoothed our. It’s really difficult tho to know what you need bc emotional needs - not material replacements - tho ubiquitous are unique & hard to market and so we don’t get much advertisement for them. Plus it’s not really something considered cool to talk about so I tbh k we get used to thinking of something basic as a special need for certain people who think about that stuff bc they need it.

im wondering how many of you give thought to your emotional well being & if you are aware of being content or feel wanting, etc etc

It's a common problem, you've got to stick something in hole but it's too big. It should fit in theory but it's gonna be tight. So how do you do it?

If a man is looking for a break-up and wants her to leave, I think this is one way:

- Do a fake marriage proposal prank (then laugh and say it's just a prank) or after 2+ years together tell her ''you're a great girlfriend but you're not wife material''

- Tell her you were just with her for other reasons and that she was never that physically attractive, that in fact she was kind of plain looking and that he just had sex out of pity.

I can't think of a woman that wouldn't be crushed. I've seen several stories about women that pretend to agree with the guy on just living together but secretly wished they were proposed; they are hurting on the inside. Then mocking her on the physical features, our main market value... she's leaving for sure.

Wouldn't doing that to a woman be similar to insulting a man's strength, calling him small, making pranks about him being sissy or mocking his ability as a provider?

Same as no man wants to be seen as weak and getting denied as a provider, no woman wants to be perceived as ugly and getting denied as a wife. Is that the equivalent?

Bad people include cheaters, con artists, liars, golddiggers, players, users, etc. Then there are the decent people who would never dream of doing any of that.

I would like to believe it's really 50/50. There has be a balance (yin-yang) where it can't be all bad but not all good either. Is it really even or are there more bad men/women overriding the good people?
