Need a "maybe" or "it depends" option. It depends on if you have a true relationship with Jesus or not. There are only 2 possible places for you after death and they are eternal and final.

If you do have a good relationship with him and do as he says, you will get to Heaven. In that case death is a salvation.

If you do not have that relationship with Jesus, then Hell is your destination after death. In that case, death is the worst thing for you because of where you will be after. Jesus even says there are many who will do good works and profess his name and he will say "Depart from me for I never knew you".
