Questions: Religion & Spirituality

You know when eg. Christians or Muslims die, a burying ceremony is performed or if Hindus die burning ceremony is performed. If atheists don't have a religion then why do we bury/burn them?
For atheist : Which type of ceremony do you wish to have after death?

With better I mean if it would be lesser war, terrorism, extremists, other gruesome things etc.

This question is not to insult any religion. i do respect all the religions but asking this question to understand others.

So there is a man insulting god and saying you don't exist. Is he theist or atheist in your opinion? and why?

I'd consider him theist as while insulting, he accepts the existence of god.
