Do you think that today, in this world we live in, that religion is a benefit to society or causes more harm? I'm looking for an overall opinion so I understand it does some good and some harm but do you think the world would be better with or without it?

Why or why not?

Some denominations of Christians say that people would start disappearing because it is written, " For you know quite well that the day of the Lord's return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night." (1 Thessalonians 5:2) However it is also written, ""Look, he is coming with the clouds," and "every eye will see him, even those who pierced him"; and all peoples on earth "will mourn because of him." So shall it be! Amen"(Revelation 1:7) So if you believe in the Rapture these two verses contradict each other but in reality you just misunderstood them. When he comes all will see him (Revelation 1:7) but no one knows when he will come it will be unexpected like when a thief breaks into ur home at night ( 1 Thessalonians 5:2). So the Rapture is biblically false and when God comes it will be unexpected and all of humanity shall see Him in all His glory.

If the entire world is being terrorized by Muslims and the entire world is standing up against Islam and its hatred, why do people still preach that its peaceful?
If Buddhists start attacking you, then you know you're a messed up religion.

I had this female friend who treated me really badly and was a really bad person and stabbed me in the back and she recently was made redundant while I have a job I really like to do. I haven't seen her since but she also split-up from her Boyfriend also who stabbed her in back also.

I think due what happened I believe in Karma - does anyone have any other experiences they would like to share?

How many people still cling to religious beliefs and reject evolution?
