Search Results: changing a guy''s habits

So I have some issues with some colleagues and I’m at a crossroads. Some girls at my church do not like me.

Some differences between me and them/some things they said to me:

1. I’ve been told by the girls that I always dress up and wear makeup. The other girls wear sweatpants/casual wear and no makeup.

2. I was told by some girls that I’m just “drop dead gorgeous”. Some of the girls have been hurt by guys who chose to be nicer to me then them, but this is beyond my control. Some of the guys liked me over them but again, out of my control.

3. Some girls also said that I have too many things going for me, like a good wealthy family, looks and a good job. I’ve been through my share of hardship which I shared with them but they don’t care. Some of them literally walked away from me and shut me down. Some just think I had it easy and say things like, “if I had known that things would work out like it did for you I would have stuck through all hardships.” WTF I never knew everything would work out for me. Wtf am I supposed to do? Disown my family and scar my own face?

4. I own designer bags as they were a gift from family and friends. But the girls think I’m conceited for buying it. They don’t believe me when I tell them it’s a gift. They also speak badly of my parents for buying me nice things. My parents worked hard for their money so who are they to speak ill of them?

5. They also think I’m superficial cuz I’m thin with good skin. Yes part of it is genetic. Another part is due to habit. My dad is a doctor and always encouraged healthy eating and exercise. I will get sick if I don’t do this.

6. They also accuse me of hanging out with boys all the time. But to be honest, I hang out with the boys because they (the girls) are not nice to me. Boys know this and have encouraged me to find other girl friends.

I don’t think I should have to change my clothes or diet to satisfy others since it’s not harming anybody.
