This question applies to both males and females- males too, can be feminists afterall. So please share wether or not you are feminist. Why you are or why not. And what is your own definition of feminism? (What feminism means to you).

This is the dictionary definition of feminism

Feminism:
the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men.

By this definition, i myself am i feminist. I believe in political, social, and economic equality of women. HOWEVER, i am fully aware that it is impossible for men and women to be biologically equal (as men and women were initially hard wired for different things, and therefore have different sets of skills and advantages).

So are you a feminist or not?

Feminism teaches women that men are evil monsters, and spreads this man hating culture amongst them. Men in turn, hate women for thinking low of the entire male population.

So will there ever come a time, when both men and women live in harmony, and prefer to judge each other on an individual basis instead of hating their entire gender?

P. S. Please don't start about the meaning of feminism. Yeah yeah, I know about its definition too (which is to promote equality among the genders), but its implementation (which is to hate and exploit men) is vastly different from its definition.

I would describe myself as "feminist" in many of my ideas about masculinity and empowering women, but I do not call my self "A" feminist.

People say "you believe in equality between genders, right?"

"Yes"

"Then that, by definition, makes you a feminist."

Not quite. Feminism is a movement that believes in the equality between genders. It isn't gender equality itself, but a movement towards such. Needless to say, you can believe in gender equality, even on the same bases and assumptions made by feminism, but you still shouldn't "HAVE" to call yourself a feminist. In much the same way that people who believe in racial equality don't have to explicitly call themselves "civil rights activists" or "black empowerment activists". And these days in particular, feminism is more of a political party than something as completely broad as "All of gender equality and every interpretation of it."

Yet in the feminist community, this seems to be a topic of much fury and frustration. "Why doesn't such-and-such call themselves a feminist? They believe in gender equality. That makes them a feminist regardless of what they say!"

It's a way of saying "you either agree with OUR method of reaching gender equality, or you are a misogynistic pig." Which of course, makes it more exclusionary. It isn't "feminism or sexism".

But why does this even matter so freaking much? What if Hillary Clinton just went up and said she no longer identifies as a feminist? Would that essentially negate any of her successes and wash away any of her pro-woman ideas?

What about Christina Hoff Sommers? She calls herself a "freedom feminist" or "factual feminist", and yet the feminist community sees her as an antagonist and call her a non-feminist. But she still believes in gender equality, no?
