In this weird generation I believe it sort of plays a role in marriage but if it were to happen a second time the marriage should turn into a divorce if both of them werent trying to fix it or if they did and it didn’t work out. We have to gain love &trust in a relationship. We’re humans and make mistakes.

They have oppressed women throughout the history.
They consider women inferior, the core reason being women's bodies being physically weaker.
They limited their opportunities, they didn't allow them to be educated for a long time.
They don't respect women as much as they respect men. They don't take a woman seriously.
They love to harass women, catchall women and rape women.
They have bad words which often include women.
English language is sexist. God is considered a male. Many times, people including women are referred to as 'he' and 'men'.
They allowed female foeticide, dowry system, and girls moving to the in law's home after marriage.
In entertainment and media, fictional male characters are portrayed well and better than female characters.

What more evidence do I need?

Also, saying that "they don't oppress women anymore" doesn't matter. They had done that before and they can easily do it again.

What i mean by that is when i say a traditional woman i mean one who enjoys cooking cleaning, baking, loves children (very maternal), wants marriage and a husband doesn't swear much or use vulgar language, dresses very feminine mostly and has values of maybe less modern than today, and when i say nontraditional i mean someone who doesn't fit a stereotype and does what they want and lives how they want, doesn't believe in gender rolls, or something should be a certain way, maybe isn't very good with kids, is very independent, lives life day by day, not bothered about marriage etc.

Neither are meant to be negative, just trying to give a maybe exaggerated example of what i am saying.
