And criminalize them. You have enough money, you feel guilty that humans can no longer know what its like to have dogs as a pet. You have a choice, lose it all, tell the truth. Dogs become pets again. Or live a happy current life with a guilty conscience. If only the public mutually agreed they loved their children, and wanted all dogs to go to heaven, instead of live on until there's no humans left, then would it work?
