I should probably explain this because I don't think I worded the question as well as I wanted. It's no secret that a lot of men want to be a woman's protector, which I think is natural. But at the same time, they don't want a woman who can't do anything for herself. This question here is meant to ask the men (and possibly gay or bisexual women) if they had to choose between these two extremes, in terms of women they would be with. Which of these two would you find attractive? If you had to choose between either of the two women below to date or marry, which would you personally choose?
(And again, can't be a mix of the two. This is about what you'd choose if you had to pick one of these two extremes.)
The first choice is essentially the ideal woman of the 1950s and before then. A woman who is extremely feminine. She would have a soft and fragile body, and be sensitive, and demure. This woman couldn't hurt a fly, because she's just so nurturing, gentle, and empathetic. She would rely on you to be her protector, and submit to you, seeing as the dominant one. Would probably be an excellent wife and mother.The second is essentially a tomboy or a warrior woman. She's physically strong; is a good fighter. She knows how to use a weapon, and likely has one. This woman is tough, strong-willed, and assertive like a guy. She might be aggressive and competitive too. She is willing to fight, and even kill her enemies. Can either be dominant and a natural leader, or is willing to fight alongside you as an equal partner and teammate. Would probably make for a good soldier or hunter, and could probably fit in with the guys pretty well.
Do you prefer delicate and demure women who need your protection, or tough women who can fight?
The type of femininity I was looking for is somehow resistant to whether she can kick ass or hunt or skin animals or do tailwhips on a motorcycle. There is some contrast for me but it seems to have little to do with that. It's more like whether she can make me feel sufficiently manly and responsible for us both at the end of the day instead of taking over everything, and if she can still become soft enough (in mind/spirit, not body), when things get intimate.
I don't know how to pick as a result. These aren't the extremities that interest me, because there are old school housewife-like women who want to take over the household provide no interest to me... and there are ones who are obedient likes slaves which get dull real fast. And there are girls who are very strong in body and ambitious but seem too callous to hold my interest like they can't melt and be women at the end of the day... and there are ones who, in spite of being all bruised up after doing what we might consider very masculine things, turn all soft. I guess I'd like the badass girl though -- she seems to offer a higher probability of being interesting to me.
I am out I am in the middle on this one. We are physically stronger and so that is where that comes from. Women are emotionally stronger. I like feisty women, But at the same time, I believe in Chivalry, does not mean you are not capable of defending yourself, I just like being a gentleman and for some reason that is a bad thing now a days. I am a huge fan of Women's Sports, they are just as capable as the men. The reason I like watching them , is the fact that the game is still pure without egos involved. Hell I applied to coach the local Woman's professional football team. I also commented on the woman kicker from Georgia Tech for what she did for women. Women can kick ass also. I personally know quite a few women that could play with men. Heck I have not got the job yet, but I have started recruiting women I know who can do the sport justice. Football is my sport and I have no problem having them take the game up. Bring back the purity of the game. They have made it to complicated trying to out do each other. I believe I can take the 8 plays that Vince Lombardi used and beat any NFL team with it. Because instead of out thinking you I am going to cram the football down your throat and dare you to stop me. Mano e Mano or Woman e Woman. If everyone does their job the play will work
I’m not interested in dating women, but I prefer to be a mix of both. I’d prefer to let my guy be my protector, but if necessary I’ll beat your ass in a frilly dress. I am gentle, and nurturing, and sweet. But I am also a tomboy. Variety is the spice of life.
We are equals. I’ll admit though in my current relationship I tend to be in charge more though. My boyfriend is just more nonchalant about most things and knows that I’m typically the more responsible one in the relationship, so he tends to let me decide a lot of things. I respect his opinion, but he typically has no preference for most things.
I am gentle and nurturing to the people I like. Depending on who you ask I am either one of the nicest sweetest people they’ve ever met, or I’m a total bitch. I’ve never killed anyone, but I think I could do it if necessary. If my life was in danger or my loved ones were in danger I could do it. But I haven’t been in many life threatening situations. I’ve fought off attackers and creeps before though.
My answer might be different if we were living in a zombie apocalypse, but as the world is right now, I would rather have a more delicate and "traditionally" feminine partner. I simply don't think the world, or at least the area of it that immediately surrounds me, is dangerous enough at the moment that both of us being world-class MMA champions is necessary.
I plan to conceal carry as soon as I turn 21, and would like to take up boxing and/or kickboxing when I have the time/money for it. That should be as much protection as we would ever need. Plus, I would like to feel as though I have a vital and irreplaceable role in our relationship.
Then of course there's the factor that delicate and feminine women are simply what I find attractive physically and emotionally, for reasons I don't know.
If you gave me a chance to hang with /date a woman like Revy... Man, I may be dead in a week but I couldn't live with myself if I didn't at least go for it.
But that's not the point. To answer your question it's the second woman hands down.
Someone who's a little more chill would be more my speed though, but I don't care if she's stronger or a better fighter than me. (It's just motivation to become better than her)
Sorry, I don't go for extremes or stereotypes. I expect a woman to be able to be able to manage her finances and keep up her end of a conversation. Be nice if she can drive stick and hike all day. Be able to stick up for herself, but not be petty and judgmental.
