Guys, how big of a turnoff is it for you when a girl is tall or even taller for you?

Ok, so I am 21 and f and unfortunately, really tall (6'037). What I have observed is that pretty much all guys want a petite woman or a woman who is shorter than him. But I know there are plenty of girls who constantly talk about their unwillingness to give shorter guys a chance. Plus, there is also this pressure exerted on men that they need to be bigger and stronger because they are supposed to be the protectors, so I am not surprised that men always go for shorter women and I don't resent them for that because I know that the mainstream is real and it's a powerful thing.

Personally, I would have nothing against dating a guy who is shorter than me. I once had a crush on a guy who was 5'7.

But what are men's opinions on dating someone who is just as tall as them or even taller than them?

Men are 5 inches taller than women on average, so it weird when woman is taller than a man. Usually I would not want to date a girl who tall as me or is taller than me, if she a virgin I am not sure if that would offset that, as there is limit to everything.

Don't mind it at all. I think tall and short are equally attractive for different reasons.

It is exactly as you say though. When I look at a girl there is often a quick "Would I still be noticably taller if she wore heels?" internal question. If yes, I assume my height is good with her. If no, well, I still assume I am good with her because I am full of myself. But I realize height will not give me any bonus points.

So its the same issue as dating someone who looks different from you. It is not that they are less attractive. The amount of normal guys falling for alt girls is staggering, but that we assume we won't match. Have things in common. So on. Once you get to "Hi, I like you" those things cease to matter.

Yeah I like a petite lady but also the Amazonian type can be very nice if she has the right type of personality. I only dated one taller than I, being 5'11" to my 5'8". She was way out of my league. Her last boyfriend was a chip and dale stripper. She was from California down for the summer at her grandmothers in 94. I wasn't unhappy being with her. She was a party animal and all that. Extremely pretty face and curvy. I think she liked the fact I was the only guy in this popular bar in Longview to approach her. I thought what the hell let's sit next to her and get shot down. She blew my mind as she was so positive and nice. I was probably tied for last place as far as my appearance. But sometimes personalities click. She was getting back with hotshot when she returned home so I just had fun.

It honestly wouldn't bother me at all. Frankly, at 6'2", I think it would be a welcome change to be with someone you can kiss without having to bend over- and at my height, that would pretty much limit me to to dating girls on stilts.

At 6’ i rarely meet people who are taller than me, let alone women. I have been attracted to a very tall woman, but she was much younger than me so i didn’t creep on her. She did seem fairly self confident though. Maybe that’s the key. Just know that not being for everyone doesn’t mean there’s not a few special someones out there for you.

I don't think guys mind dating a girl who's taller than they are. But girls mostly want guys who are taller.

I think guys tend to go for shorter girls because they expect taller girls to find them less attractive.

So you can go for taller guys, or let it be known that you're fine with dating shorter guys.

I like tall girls 🤷‍♂️ I’m 5’10 and wouldn’t mind dating a girl that’s as tall or taller than me. Most taller girls understandably want guys that are over 6’0 so I usually don’t hit on them but if she didn’t mind me not being tall and she’s cute then hell ya I’d date her.

Doesn't happen very often as I'm 6'5". But a woman's height is irrelevant to me. I will say though that shorter women make more effort to know me than taller women. Also a woman that says she won't date a guy under 6 foot is a turnoff to me.

Some shorter will assume that you won't date them. If you meet an attractive guy, you may have to ask him out, or if you've been flirting, ask him why he hasn't asked you.
