I have a crush on this guy at my work place. We constantly run into each other and seems to Always make eye contact and have had typical stranger conversations. I. e: “excuse me can you help me with this?” I wanted to like formally make an introduction but I have extreme social anxiety and struggle with basic social interactions. He is part of the Maintenance crew and I work in Candy, I was thinking of making a small bag of treats, and writing a simple note of “Hey! I’m Marly, I see you around quite often but we’ve never really talked! I was hoping we could be buddies!”. Do you think that would be weird? Or interesting! I’d also really love some tips or adjustments!

One thing that annoys me about dating apps is the people who put their social media details in their bio, I automatically get turned off. Why would you give a bunch of strangers a way of contacting you without getting to know them one on one. I had a conversation with a male friend who actually wants a relationship and I told him straight out that if I see social media links I automatically think they’re not looking to date seriously.

I received a Twitter friend request however I never really used or post Twitter except to read about memes or events or stuff like that. So when I received the request I saw that it was from someone I didn’t know who had no picture.

The account had just been made and no following or followers. But the username was spelled just like my ex name minus one letter. So I messaged the person because I was suspicious and ask them who is this? They said oh I’m dedmond but my friends call me dezi ( his name is Dezmond like seriously) I just added you because I saw you in my feed and thought you were cute.

I’m pretty sure when you start a new account you don’t have feed. Plus since he has friends why didn’t he add them to create following instead of a stranger. I said oh that’s okay just saw you opened this account and I wasn’t sure I knew you.

I asked him where he was from he told me nyc ( my ex is in another state ) I told him where I was from and I asked his age he told me 19 ( my ex is older) I told him I was 22 and I was winter baby, I asked him what his birthday he told me November 6th (my ex bday in September) so at this point I start thinking okay maybe it’s not him.

Maybe just a 19 year old from nyc whose trying to make friends? so we’re having a conversation about likes and dislikes and all of sudden. He had blocked me and deactivated the account.

The reason I’m concerned because my ex and me have been broken up for 2 years, he’s in a relationship and I have moved on. The last time we talked was last year and he invited me to see him but then blocked me I decide it was best to get over things and MOVE ON so I did. He also friend requested me on Snapchat this summer then watch my stories and block em after.

I dated someone else for awhile it didn’t work out but I was okay, focused on school work mental health and family and friends so I’m happy right now. Could he have been looking for closure?

I don't know why I comment. Its not normally not my thing beyond gag. I guess I’ve been too sick/ brain dead to physically talk/ have a meaningful conversation with anyone I know by text or otherwise.. Sharing an opinion as a stranger seemed simpler 🤔🤷‍♀️ NO 😂😂

I made a few comments (nothing rude. Controversial possibly but entirely civil) THREE days ago.

I’ve since received 20 notifications despite having provided closure is n five separate occasions - you know in case there was an actual misunderstanding -they won’t stop. 🥵

Do people expect you to only talk if you are a clone?
