He always points out little things like in groups she’s always next to me the most or when going up to the bar she goes with me and then waits for me before going back to the group together (whereas for anyone else she’ll go back to the group table once she’s done her order). And she’s generally willing to do things with me. But I just think she does this because we’re good friends.

I know I've been odd at times in my development as a person, so I'd like to understand what is "average" or "normal".

Do you normally pine about finding someone to share your life with and then seek them out, or do you find somebody and then decide life would be better spent keeping them happy.
