Every time I'm upset my husband gets irritated at me. To the point, we end up fighting a lot. Here's an example:
My dog has stomach issues. My mother in law feeds him both people food and cat food. Our vet spoke to her the last time we had to go in for an emergency visit. He told her to stop immediately that she was making our dog very ill. So when she kept doing it I got angry. My husband confronted his mom and she claimed that the vet didn't say anything about either people food or cat food. So my husband comes back to me and says unless you have proof that the vet talked to my mom we have to give her the benefit of the doubt. For complete disclosure, my husband eventually believed me, but only after four emergency vet visits, a diagnosis of pancreatitis, and him telling her to stop and she continued to feed him incorrectly anyway. He does things like that all the time. If I get a date wrong, use the wrong word, cry because I'm angry or upset if someone else remembers differently he will start telling me to think logically. To not let my emotions get in the way of a rational discussion. I don't know how to get him to accept my right to express feelings. That I have the right to raise my voice sometimes.
I don't understand why he won't believe me or back me up. I he frustrated and angry when he dismissed everything I say because I made a mistake with a detail.

How do get him to see the big picture?

Am I just approaching him wrong?

He has me feeling like I really am losing my mind and I know I'm not.

Is there a way to fix this?

Am I expecting too much?

Is it wrong to want him and expect him to give my thoughts on a situation weight because I'm his wife?

I told him I want to be copilots of our destinies, and he said that he has a responsibility to stay impartial and make rational fair judgments. Is this gaslighting b. s. or does he have a point?

This is fairly long winded, but does build to somthing. I would appreciate if you read it, but it is not necessary for the poll.

Today I looked in the mirror and thought "My goodness, no wonder no one loves you, you're hideous!". I'm a very dramatic person in case you can't tell.
Now I am normally a very looks positive person, promoting inner beauty and loving yourself for what you are. So I began to wonder if this makes me a hypocrite... I'm here thinking I'll die alone because I'm "hideous" when I tell people that they can find love despite their appearance.
This is where I stopped and really looked at myself. I'm fat. My gut doesn't hang out or anything, but I'm definitely a plump girl. My nose is big, my cheeks are full, and my skin is so fair that I could hide naked in snow drifts and my vampy complexion would conceal me. I don't know why I'd be outside naked in the cold... but I could do it without detection if I really wanted to.

However, after careful consideration, I have decided that I am not "hideous". I may be plump as a kings Christmas pheasant, but a good portion of it is in my boobs and butt. Which my I say, I get many a unwanted complaint for. My face is chubby and my nose is big, but people love my eyes and my eyebrows have even gotten a few compliments. My lips are small but well shaped, and get many unasked for kisses. My hair is kind of like that one annoying friend who you love, but also hate.

So am I ugly? Probably. But a bad attitude certainly doesn't help.

A lucid dream, for the sake of this poll, is a dream in which you know you're dreaming, & you can control your dream.

I say "how long do they seem to last?" because I'm aware that dreams actually last for a relatively short period of time. However, for the dreamer, it can seem much longer.
It bewilders me that I can do so many things within a period of time that is technically so short (in real life), despite feeling pretty long within the dream.

Does anybody have any idea why dreams can feel so long, despite technically being short in reality?

As for this poll: Do you, or do you not, experience a "dopamine hit" from crying? I don't, but my friend does. Personally, crying only makes me feel worse.
