So I feel like there is something that I’m doing wrong or the people around me don’t like me. I’m in my mid twenties and have zero relationship experience. Women I’ve met speak of men that come to them without having to put in any effort. Guys approach them randomly and it blossoms into a relationship. I’m very introverted and have only ever gotten noticed by men I’m not attracted to. And even that happens rarely. People compliment my appearance and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Yet, I’ve gotten more positive than negative feedback. I should say: positive feedback in person and negative feedback on here.

I am on dating apps to keep my options open and even that doesn’t work out. I hear of women that have men waiting to date them and that’s never been my experience. There were guys I’ve stopped speaking to and they move on to the next girl.

Mind you, people tell me I’m more attractive than these guys and these guys easily move on. Either they’re complete players or have a “wonderful personality”. I see women with good looking partners and I don’t think they’re beautiful but they’re still able to find a good looking guy.

I don’t think I’m beautiful but only get attention of men I don’t find physically attractive. And I refuse to settle because those other people didn’t settle either.

Am I just unlucky or is there something I’m missing?

In my personal opinion, I have average looks and intelligence. However, people have told me differently and I feel they’re lying about these positive opinions. From when I was in middle school to very recent, at the age of 23, girls/women have been nasty to me. And when I attempt to evaluate how I may have attributed to this treatment, I don’t believe I really did anything. It was usually for petty stuff. Even family members have said a lot of negative things about me behind my back or to my face.

Men on the other hand don’t really bother me. I presume I’m not attractive to them because I wasn’t really teased by them growing up or am not approached in public. The only attention I generally get from guys is on dating apps and we know how shady those sites can be.

I dont know if people just dislike my personality/appearance or maybe there is another underlying reason behind their behavior

I’m in my mid twenties and the lack of attention I’ve received from guys throughout the years has impacted my self esteem negatively. I’ve had to try online dating since I’m lonely and unnoticed in person. And you best believe that hasn’t worked for me. I’ve lost weight too and I’m still never approached. I’m told I’m attractive, sometimes by strangers yet still no suitors. I just want to cry over my lack of relationships and how sad I feel. I feel like I’m doomed. Trust issues from previous negative social encounters hasn’t helped either. I just wish I was that girl that could bounce from relationship to relationship because of my multiple options but I’d be lucky to get one date. Could I be invisible because of my looks?
