I always wanted to have kids and when I met my boyfriend it was the first thing we discussed that yes we want kids. But I was wondering about it and after one year and a half I asked if he would stay with me yet if I did not want to have kids or even adopt it. He got really mad and said that yes he would leave me because he wants children...
I want to have kids but it was sad to hear that and made me uncomfortable am I wrong to feel sad? Or it is normal that he would break up if I did not wanted kids?

I met my father three times in my life, last time I saw him I was about 12 and he just dropped off the radar. Never took an interest in me or paid child support. He is a complete stranger to me.
Last year I took an ancestry DNA test and found two half siblings I never knew i had through my father. One is still coming to terms that I am her sister (we haven't spoken since Jan), the other sister I met in person and we are getting to know each other.
She has had some contact with our father sporadically over the last twenty years (she was adopted at birth and found him as an adult). Through her I have found out a lot of stuff about his family and his life. He is a convicted criminal, has a drug problem and apparently was/is obscenely wealthy.

My sister has hinted that we should ambush/confront him (as he never told her about me) together.
On one side, I would like to ask him questions about the family, namely if there are more siblings and about the grandparents. He is also getting older and people die, plus his lifestyle is rough. This sister has also had a falling out with him, so she may not be able get any more info about the family from him. On the other side, I really don't know if I want to waste my time on a piece of shit that could suddenly fuck up the life I have worked tirelessly to build.

So I am kind of unsure what to do. What would you do if you were me?

I am not here to point any fingers, as my aunty told me my parents wanted abort me and they decided not to which I am alive today because of that decision of theirs.

The way I personally see it is, I wouldn't abort a child of mine, but I recognize that other people have their own rights, and I shouldn't not be infringing on their rights to make that choice. My parents were both in University, when I was a baby I suffered a lot with a disease because my parents couldn't afford good medical care, my mom told me I was so sick my dad cried and she had never seen him crying, fortunately they made some sacrifices and got me the medical care I needed. When people are in a situation to bring a child to the world and that child might suffer in world, or they're not mentally ready to have kids. Yes there's adoption but not all children get adopted, so they're getting into a broken foster system which might also leave them damaged. The other is for young teens, by having that baby it can simultaneously destroy two lives hers and the babies. I am definitely pro choice.

However I would like to open up a discussion about it why are there people out there who are against it. I would like to hear from everyone with no judgement, from me or anyone else that answers the post, please be respectful of people's views, you can comment and ask questions but don't judge and insult.

Lol i used to say (back when i actually wanted 12 kids ALL BEFORE THE AGE OF 30), that if i kept having one sex, i’d keep going til i got one of both. But now im like weeeeell, i just want 2-3 kids. If i have a girl and boy then i’ll stop. If i have a boy first then i’ll try again and hopefully get a girl. I’d really prefer my little mini me first. I’d like to have a son as well but im really rooting for a girl first.
