How Far We've Came
A woman in the 1950's was much different than one of today. Back then most women were homemakers. A homemaker is a person who takes of the responsibility of running a household, including cleaning, cooking, and raising children. Women at the time still had little privilege compared to men and were considered to be second class citizens.
Men Talk the Talk
Men still have a lot of privilege in being able to fall back on gendered notions, because if not, they have to participate a lot in housework, childcare, and potentially give up on career advantages. Let's not even talk about the money contribution percentage brought into the household between the two genders. When it comes down to it, many men can " Talk the Talk but, are not willing to Walk the Walk."
Females Walk the Walk
Younger women are working longer hours and earning more money then ever before. More women are graduating with higher education degrees. In fact more are graduating all together. But they're still carrying more of the burden at home and still in general making less money compared to men.
While today's households are more likely to adopt egalitarian views about gender, reporting they want to split household duties and income equally, research shows those promises often collapse under the weight of long-held gender stereotypes. That men just can't hang with. They want to split the check, but can't split the work load.
Woman have really failed by allowing men to do less and them to do more. But don't cry guys, It's the women's fault you're less masculine then ever. We are the ones who have allowed you to do less work and be less of a man. We have told you masculinity is out and femininity is in. Shame on us.. Because masculinity is not out, so save the crying for us girls.
On an average day, 19% of men reported doing housework like laundry, cleaning and other tasks, compared to 49% of women. Women who also spend more time every day doing these tasks, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Women Today Have Failed
Ladies, we have failed society and our partners. We should be ashamed of ourselves, for accomplishing so much overtime. We should bow are heads to the fact our estrogen levels are not dropping like mens testosterone levels are. Women are as feminine today as ever, and seem to get more and more beautiful all the time.
The U.S. is inching toward gender equality because of profound changes in women’s lives they’re the ones who, for example, have forced their way into traditionally male-dominated fields( how dare you ladies, how dare you! ). Women must work today but men still aren't giving birth or breast feeding. WTF is up with that?
Men Have Undergone Less
In comparison, men’s lives have undergone less drastic changes over the past few decades. While men have somewhat increased their participation in housework, other aspects of their life such as the imperative that they must earn and provide for their family remain largely as they were decades ago. Reguardless, of the fact that now day's a lot of women make more money than men do.
In The Future
Men should take all this free time they have from complaining about everything and not cleaning and instead they can think of some ways to become a more masculine man. All this whinnying and crying about paying for dates and blaming women for failing their gender, isn't working for you fellas. Guys, please stop your bitching, find your masculinity and stop being an Embarrassment to Real Men.
Ladies we have failed as women, we've done way too much in order to pick up mens slack. Shame on us! How dare we evolve from housewives of the 1950's.
