Is it common for a woman to have her dad's similar features but look nothing like her own mother?

Honestly I'm like a female version of my dad, even got his lighter skin tone and smile. Our baby and childhood pictures look so similar. If I would've been born in his year, I would've been his twin sister.

I have to admit... I look nothing like my mother. I came out of her own stomach but we're like oil and water.

I'm now 30 but my features still resemble him. I still look similar to how he was at my age. I still look absolutely nothing like my own mother.

Thats just basic genetics , dominant and recessive genes 🧬 coming from parents and parents of parents up the family tree ( F1 & F2 generations ) irrespective of sex they crossover , sons picking up from their mothers and daughters of their fathers. Completely natural

Genetics can be broken down to a very simple level: upon conception, the parents genetic material mixes and then splits to create your own chromosomes. The way it splits up can mean that you can inherit more features from your dad or more features from your mom or be a mix between the two. So it's perfectly normal for a person to be physiologically similar to either one of the parents.

Basic science talks about dominant genes so you just have your dad’s dominant genes.

Actually dad's genes are recessive and I still got them. They took over mom's more dominant genes.

Yep, I look a lot like my dad. He’s a sexy man, but these features make me more masculine looking rather than cute looking.

Often times, the gastric juices of the stomach do a number on the fetus. The disfiguring effect will give a female child very masculine qualities. This is why I recommend for all moms to carry the fetus in the womb (aka uterus).

Depends, but yeah I look very much like my dad and his family members. My mom is Native American and I was born blonde with blue eyes and look like my dad. Which is kind of weird because my hair changed to brown and my eyes are more green now.
