When most women say they don't like "really muscular" men, what they actually mean are misshapen freaks who piss out pure dianabol and die off by 45 to a heart attack. But in plenty of cases what they describe as "toned", "not too much" or even "ideal" are actually men who have been lifting for 5+ years and sometimes have been on steroids for half as long.
When I was younger and I'd say that I was lifting for 2+ years a lot of women would immediately go like "eek, I don't like guys to be too big!" only for them to say "ohh this is totally fine!" after they've actually got to see me.
Most women simply aren't familiar with what it takes to be a certain level of muscular, they have this idea that looking like Hollywood actors is the result of 6~ months at the gym, whereas in reality it's often the result of years of lifting and frequent steroid use.
Most dudes will never even attain the "too much look", because in women's heads it's generally the extremes.
Do you really think all women have a secret plot to lie about what they find attractive? Why would we do that? Some people like muscular guys, some people like chubby guys, some people like skinny guys. Personally I’m most attracted to guys who are pretty average or even with a bit of extra weight to guys who are toned but not overly muscular.
You keep bringing up male strippers - not a single woman I have ever met have had any experience with male strippers. I’m sure real ones probably have all sorts of different body types, and the ones in films are usually very muscular like the photo you posted which is why you’re referring to that. I think generally male strippers are more of a thing for gay men rather than women.
You keep asking why, you don’t understand why women don’t prefer this body type etc. but that is probably because you are a man who isn’t sexually attracted to men. These types of super muscular guys appeal to the male gaze, not the female gaze - it’s basically what men think a man should look like, not what women actually prefer in most cases.

How many people you know in this world that are considered attractive, that look like the models that you see. Less than 5% body fat is bodybuilder going on stage lean not model lean. Models are generally around 10% body fat which is a pretty healthy place to be by the way. And most male models are also a normal BMI. This idea that most male models are unhealthy is just not based in reality. Lots of models are too thin and are anorexic but not most. Most are fit and healthy looking. and just to be clear here those thin models are still probably healthier than the majority of people Who are overweight and definitely healthier than people who are obese. People just love to hate on them.

No, lol. I find muscular men attractive. I used to find it unattractive. Then i liked a guy.. turned out he was ripped. Afterwards i started appreciating that body type and now it's become my preference. A lot of my friends don't find the guys i like attractive and think their bodies are "gross" or "too muscular". There are girls that prefer chubby guys and skinnier guys, just like there are men that prefer skinnier women and chunkier women. All of the men I've dated have been absolutely attractive to me. Try accepting that we each have our own preferences instead of claiming that we're all liars.
Muscular and strong to some extend.. but the ideal that you posted is not for all women. I have been with men of various body types, I know what I prefer, and it is not that man. First of all I like a man that is not much broader/taller than me, and I am petite and thin. Feels much better cuddling when I can easily reach around him and so. And a layer of fat on top of the muscles feels the best. Hint of muscles look nice, but the ripped look is ridiculous to me. Especially big protruding thighs, biceps, neck and chest.

Well not in this pic he is wayyy too big. I think a lot of women that like bigger men like men that have beards also. So that’s like why do men like blondes or women with big butts but get with brunettes and skinny women that don’t have an ass. But I think they do better with picking up hook ups and typically long term is more of a chubby guy thing. And also when you are muscular you are typically in the gym and a lot of hoes are at the gym/easy hookups

When most girls say "dad bod" they don't actually mean a beer belly and manboobs like a lot of dads have, they just mean a heavier set, does lots of manual labour type body.
Toned is best for most guys and girls, not outright muscular or unfit. A nice healthy middle ground where you can make out some definition but they don't look like Schwarzenegger.
Steroids were invented in the mid-30s and became widespread in the mid-50s, which is exactly when your picture is dated. There is every chance he was using, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt - even if it's natural, I don't find that level of muscle attractive.
I'm not sure how to quantify a "level of muscle" that would be best, its probably somewhat different for each person and the way their framed
Trust me I’ve spent like hours and hours researching this. They were invented in the 30s but were not being used by athletes until the 50s they just weren’t available like that until then and there are dudes before him who got this muscular too. Also if u look at natural bodybuilding today with polygraphs and drug tests they get the same level of muscularity. There’s actually dudes who’ve gotten a little bit bigger than this naturally. U can become overweight naturally with muscle as a guy. Feels weird but it is possible. Takes much more time and effort than with steroids but still possible. Google Bobby pandour or Eugene Sandow who were around like 30 years before steeve reeves and they were like just as muscular.

The Bobby and Eugen guys you mentioned look more well balanced, they're before my time but far more attractive physically in my opinion. I think it's the stomach area on the Steve photograph that is throwing me off, it looks disproportionate.
At the end of the day, there are a lot of things that go into whether someone is attractive or not and muscle mass is only one part of that.

Generally? No, you're right. The majority of women prefer a toned man, although that doesn't mean they won't take a bit of a dad bod, or more than that, if he's a sweet guy. I like chubby guys most, but I also have a chubby kink, so I don't represent the majority, I know that.

I think there's still a big difference in the muscles of the guy in your pic vs the one I posted. The chest's width compared to the width of the waist is very different. In the picture you posted, the guy's chest and ribs look like they're sticking out, and his abdomen looks sunken in, although I guess he could be sucking in in that picture. Also on the pic you posted, in my opinion, his thighs are just... Entirely too much. Although I can't really claim to know what the thighs look like on any of the guys I posted. I don't think it's the angles to be blamed, but I could be wrong.

There's actually probably studies on exactly what sort of male body women find most attractive, so as much as debating is fun, those studies would be your best bet for whatever the most objectively correct answer is.
