I know it's supposed to be someone that isn't feeling being a man or a woman. But what else he/she can be?
I do get transgenders, because it's still binary, man to woman and woman to man.
It's not a criticise opinion, I genuinely don't understand the concept of outside the binary system, please explain it to me.🙏
It's just what it sounds: not a man or a woman. There's just a couple different kinds that I know of, that maybe a visual can help you understand it better.
First look at gender as a sliding scale with man on the left and woman on the right. Now make the sliding scale keep going further out on either side, past man and past woman into nothing. Then take this extended sliding scale and bend it into a circle, connecting the two edges together at the top. Now you have a circle with 100% man on the left, 100% woman on the right, both combined 50/50 on the bottom, and both fading to nothing at the top.
A nonbinary person can fall anywhere on that circle (except at the two 100% spots: man and woman). The two basic categories are those who fall on the lower half of the circle (somewhere between a man and a woman), and those who fall on the upper half of the circle (someone sort of a man or sort of a woman, or neither). At least that's how I think about it.
In practice of course none of this kind of thing really matters. All you need to know to be friends with a nonbinary person is to be respectful like you would anyone else, and ask their pronouns if you don't know. Most use one or a combination of the typicals: he she or they.
I only have 1 nonbinary friend and he would probably fall in the top left quarter of the circle, using he and they pronouns. Other nonbinary people use only they, or both he and she on different days, or "any". Their pronouns won't necessarily match exactly with their gender, but it's usually a good indicator. Just remember you don't have to know someone's exact gender to be respectful towards them.
Fundamentally, it means "having a poor grasp of human biology". In a less literal sense, it's usually applied to people who don't feel particularly like a member of their own sex, and/or who possess traits of the opposite sex, but enough to feel real dysphoria, i. e., they don't feel like a man, but not like a woman, either. In and of itself, this isn't really harmful, but the implications are nothing short of terrifying- a woman with some male traits is probably going to seem more masculine, but it doesn't make her "not a woman". In ages past, we'd've simply called her a tomboy and moved on; personality attributes were seen neither as parts of your character nor defining elements of your identity. We're going backwards in terms of treating people differently based on demographics.
Curiously, it's rarely applied to hermaphrodites, or those born with chromosomal abnormalities that mean they're actually somewhere between male and female- but then, those cases are vanishingly rare.
Non-binary is a gender identity where a person may identify as both a man & woman, neither a man or a woman, have a gender-neutral identity, or no gender. NB people can use any pronouns (that they're comfortable being addressed by of course), have any gender-expression (s), any gender roles, transition, or not transition at all. They see themselves as having a gender identity that might not fit into what is considered binary. Some may also consider themselves trans while others will not.
Nonbinary, quite simply, is the space between man and woman. There is a gender spectrum with “woman” on one end and “male” on the other end and nonbinary applies to any space in between those two points on that line. It’s usually inclusive of things like genderfluid (changes on the day), drag, and agender (meaning they reject gender entirely and usually end up going by they/them)

I tend to take the easy approach and use Gag as an example.
there are users and a high chance on this post as well, who have multiple accounts, at least one of their accounts is a Pink account with their other account being a Blue one.
So normally this guy logs in with his Blue account as he feels like being a guy, the next day or a few hours later he logs in with his Pink account, as obviously he feel more feminine and identifies as a girl.
If guys are guys, then surely they only ever have a Blue account, as having a Pink account would make them a GaG binary.
It can mean any number of things. I personally do not identify as anything in particular. I am a man, and I accept that but at the same time I simply feel as "me". If I woke up in a womans body tomorrow then I would not feel any different to how I do now. I would just go "Guess I am a woman today" and move on with my life.
I am just one example though, that of not really having any gender identity. More often it means someone is almost identifying with either male or female but has something they are deviating on.
It's a trendy way to say "mentally unhinged and unwilling to seek professional help"
I've tried telling my creditors I self identify as debt free, but they don't respect my choices. I feel violated by their intolerant attitude...
See how crazy that sounds? Claiming anything other than a binary gender is loony tunes on a planet where even PLANTS have one of two - and ONLY two - genders. It requires a biological male, born with a "Y" chromosome and a biological female, born with two "X" chromosomes, to create any offspring. Put ten men and ten transgender "women" on a desert island. 200 years later archaeological evidence will show 20 MEN and zero women were on the island.

A bunch of whinebabies wanted to feel special, so they invented this term. Like this guy: "Sometimes I feel less like what I think being a man should feel like. So I'm not a man or a woman. For me it's not an either/or proposition. Some days I feel a little bit girly. Not totally girly. Just say, 15%."

There’s people out there that look like women but don’t consider themselves women. Then there are men that look like men but don’t consider themselves men. So they play on different roles to support themselves in the hopes that one day, society will accept them enough to be whatever they decide.
Trans people can refer to themselves as they they want, and I respect them for their choice. just as long as they don't expect my view to change.
I take the non-linear view, a robot will always be a robot, a male will always be a male, and a female always a female.
Sure when someone says they are "non binary" it means.. "look at me! look at how special I am"
It means that they have no personality and in the narcissistic world of social media it automatically gives them a way to feed that narciccisum and they get the attention they are so craving
Simple it's someone who disagrees that a man has to be into war and guns and girls into barbies and make up.
And people call that mentally ill but that's the most sane logic as anyone who thinks the above is the one creating made up views on a stereotypes.
I think it is those with mental issues due to trauma. An few I know of personally have told me they have been sexually abused as a kid, so I think it messed them up, so they identified as neither sex/gender.
Also, I think some think it is a fad. My friend's daughter went by they/them one week, then she/her, then they/them, back to she/her in a matter of a month. Lol
The real meaning of it is a person whom instead of having the XY or XX chromosomes have something like XXY or XXXY.
Of course 99.99% of people self describing themselves as such are just attention whores who want to feel special while being undeserving of the label.
Non-binary is BS but at least they don't mutilate their body like transgenders, so whatever.
You're asking someone to explain something that's made up and not real people that say they're non-binary have a chemical imbalance or some kind of mental sickness.
It's a mental illness faked for attention. There's no such thing as non-binary. There's rare biological cases where things can get askew down there, but that's a gigantic minority.
It's just a way for people to join the chic alphabet community without having to have gay sex or get hormones and surgeries. It doesn't actually mean anything in reality.

Non-binary is the opposite of binary, which is ironic in that it makes the term part of a binary system.
