It is heavily implied (and even outright stated) in society that women supposedly understand men more than vice versa. However the older I get the more that’s a giant myth.

Women might understand men’s sexual impulses and know how to attract (and often manipulate) men with their feminine wiles. That is if they are able to do so. Mother Nature isn’t exactly fair to all women when it comes to who fares better via genetic lottery vs who doesn’t when it comes to looks in itself.

However I truly believe most women fail to understand that what most men want is to be respected by women. Respect is not the same thing as attraction. They often go hand in hand but not always. There are people in this world I don’t find attractive and/or dislike. But they have attributes I can respect..

For example I have more than once come across some loudmouth aggressive overweight women. I know they are loud (and often bullying) out of frustration & insecurity.

However I’ve met a few them who were very driven and self responsible in their career fields. They know they can’t rely on their looks to get by on life. Instead they were forced to work hard to get by the same way a man is expected to work hard. That I can respect despite often not liking their personalities.

Anyway what many women fail to understand is the root of most (non pathological) misogyny in modern society is just the overall disrespect men perceive from women. It’s not sexual frustration. It’s about respect.

Men can naturally sense real respect vs passive disrespect (usually goes behind a fake smile)

If women naturally understood how men crave respect then:

• Modern feminists would shut up about 95% of the crap they spew (yes they really do hate men unless a man agrees with them and/or they find him attractive).
• Women would understand what a deep insult the friéndzone truly is
• Gold diggers & freeloaders would find nothing “cute” in bs they do
• Ghosters would feel much more guilt.

I know it’s difficult for most people to do. But really try to put your personal opinions aside about Trump’s personality and character when it comes to the question of inflation and the economy. I will be the first to admit Trump’s a scumbag and a self-centered one at that. Although I also believe Biden’s character is even worse (and the media protects him) I again will admit that Trump is a narcissist. I do NOT want to see him run against Biden again. No.

However back to the economy. I do not think everything would be wonderful right now if Trump was in office. However things would be much better. The government CAN f*ck up the economy and this how Biden did it:

• Insane spending on bs most Americans don’t want or need. The giant oxymoron “the inflation reduction act” is exactly the last thing our country needs. But it got passed anyway thanks to Joe Manchin caving to bs promises. This should have been called the inflation expansion act. $1.2 trillion of taxpayer money we can’t afford spent on bs we don’t need.
• Onerous regulation on domestic oil drilling which skyrocketed energy costs. Yes global warming is real. But you can not destroy our economy thinking that will “solve” global warming. But Biden’s suggestion is for everybody to go out and buy a $80k electric car (he really did say that). Energy costs get factored into everything and it directly contributed to inflation.
• Reckless and disasterous pull out of Afghanistan which emboldened Putin to invade the Ukraine. So if Trump and Putin were supposedly in bed then why didn’t Putin invade the Ukraine while Trump was in office and not Biden? Trump would of went soft on Russia right? No Putin felt emboldened to invade after Biden demonstrated pure fecklessness on the world stage with Afganistán. This lead to the war and skyrocketing energy costs given Russia is a huge exporter of oil. This wouldn’t of happened under Trump.

US agency raises ‘serious concerns’ about tech visa lottery

The number of applications for visas used in the technology industry soared for a second straight year, raising “serious concerns” that some are manipulating the system to gain an unfair advantage, authorities said Friday.

There were 780,884 applications for H-1B visas in this year’s computer-generated lottery, up 61% from 483,927 last year, U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services said in a message to “stakeholders.” Last year’s haul was up 57% from 308,613 applications the year before.

Each year, up to 85,000 people are selected for H-1B visas, a mainstay for technology giants such as Amazon. com Inc., Google parent Alphabet Inc., Facebook parent Meta Platforms Inc. and International Business Machines Corp.

Last year, the government began requiring workers who won the lottery to sign affidavits stating they didn’t try to game the system by working with others to file multiple bids under different company names, even if there was no underlying employment offer. By winning at least once, these companies could market their services to technology companies that wanted to fill positions but didn’t have visas, effectively becoming labor contractors.

“The large number of eligible registrations for beneficiaries with multiple eligible registrations — much larger than in previous years — has raised serious concerns that some may have tried to gain an unfair advantage by working together to submit multiple registrations on behalf of the same beneficiary. This may have unfairly increased their chances of selection,” the agency wrote.

Fox could likely survive a nine-figure loss to Dominion, analysts say

Fox Corp. can most likely weather even the harshest financial penalty that could come from Dominion Voting Systems’ lawsuit, analysts say.

The blockbuster trial — originally set to begin in a Delaware court on Monday before being unexpectedly delayed by one day — will determine whether Fox Corp. can be held liable for false claims made on Fox News, the media company’s namesake cable TV property, that Dominion’s voting machines were used to rig the 2020 presidential election.

Dominion’s lawsuit seeks $1.6 billion in compensatory damages, an amount that experts said would likely be whittled down substantially depending on the jury’s judgment or in an out-of-court settlement. Fox said in a court filing Sunday that it believed Dominion had lowered its requested damages to around $1 billion, but the voting machine company disputed that, saying it had not reduced its claim.

The media giant contests any claims of liability or damages sought by Dominion, with a Fox spokesperson calling the lawsuit “a political crusade in search of a financial windfall, but the real cost would be cherished First Amendment rights.”

In the event Dominion wins its case, said Lyrissa Lidsky, a constitutional law professor at the University of Florida, the jury is highly unlikely to award Dominion all the money it’s seeking for what it says is the reputational damage exacted by Fox News’ broadcasts.

In theory, Lidsky said, the jurors could also impose punitive damages to punish Fox for “extremely wrongful conduct” and award an even higher financial penalty than Dominion asked for. But she said she had seen no evidence “thus far that suggests there are going to be damages at that magnitude, even though the damages may be very large.”
