For longer than I remember, I had this memory of once meeting a woman on a chat site, not unlike this one.
We chatted and we flirted for three evenings straight, only for her to abruptly disappear and never return ever again, prompting me to also move on with my life soon thereafter.

I don't remember any specifics other than the fact that we had great chemistry and that this "memory" dates back somewhere to my very early twenties.
It would be a very typical encounter for me, if it indeed happened around that time in my life so I never really questioned the validity of this "memory".

But the blurriness bugged me, and the more I tried to remember, the more I realized that I have absolutely no recollection of information such as:
What site was this? Why I was on there in the first place? Was I drunk for much of it?
Was it maybe a fresh find that I have simply abandoned because of that experience, and that is why the rest of my recollection is so scarce?

Over time I started to think that this experience of mine didn't even happen for real.
That, perhaps, at one point I simply had a very vivid but also quite a mundane dream that I eventually started interpreting as a memory of a real event that took place.

Do you have any "fake" memories of your own?
Something you swear you remember but when you mention it to your friends they all go like "you high or something? that certainly did NOT happen!"?

where I'm originally from Dominican Republic casual sex is a little more accepted than here in America. down there most women understand that one night of sex is not a precursor to a relationship so they dont tend to be as clingy as women here where I live in New England are after a one night stand.

down there you can go to any social venues and pick a girl up and if she thinks you are hot then she's coming home with you and will not mind being your partner in crime in the party world, unlike here where women are not just shallow picky as fuck but will always have ulterior motives when they do finally let you in between their legs for just one night.

till then every time I talk about this with family members, other acquaintances I run into whenever I travel outside or chat with folks outside New England they always tell me how bad they feel for me because they're getting lots of action in bed except me. the convos I have with them always end up with them asking why won't I just move out of New England?

but I always wondered if it really is actually better elsewhere? or better yet is this really an actual legit reason to move out?

I've recently started dating on OkCupid and I'm talking to 18 different women. This is the first time I've ever tried dating (I'm 24 by the way) and I honestly don't know what I'm doing. I just found a bunch of women that I'm interested in and started chatting with them at the same simultaneously and over time I weed them out and choose the one that's right for me. I've only been doing this for 10 days now so none of the relationships are official. I have not met any of them in person and I'm not having sex until I found the one I want to be with. I just know that this is how my mom dated after my dad passed away, and she's been with my stepdad for almost 10 years now. I feel somewhat weird doing this, is this how dating actually works. Should I keep the fact that I'm talking to other women a secret? I hate lying.
