I've been reading romance novels since I was 13 years old. I think they're a nice read. Taught me a few things over the years and gave me many ideas. I just want to know how some girls feel about it.

I couldn't sleep for one reason or another so I flipped on the TV and started going threw the channels. Nothing was on. I ended up settling on a movie called The Greeks. I didn’t catch the beginning of the movie but when I found it, it didn’t appear to what it was; a love story. I was watching it and it soon changed pace and turned out to be a very… what’s the word I’m looking for… theatrical… love story… fairy tail ending and all.

I actually didn’t mind the movie. The love showed in the movie has a certain appeal, but at times I had my moments when I sat there and thought to myself, that wouldn’t happen.

I got to thinking and figured why not make a question for everyone here to answer.

Now I’m going to say “love story” allot and the reason I don’t say “chick flick” is because, “chick flick” is to broad a category. I’m not talking about movies like “the wedding planner”; who can blame a guy from not wanting to watch that? No offense intended to all you guys out there going, “I liked the wedding planner”. I’m referring to a movie that’s more mature in nature.

How does everyone feel about watching a move containing a strong love story entanglement?

How do you guys feel when you have a movie date with a certain female and she wants to watch a love story? If you haven’t had any movie dates think theoretically.

How do you girls feel about a guy who doesn’t mind, or even likes, a good love story movie from time to time?

If you enjoy love stories, what appeals to you about them?

Do love stories ever influence what you look for in another person when considering them as date material? This question is directed mainly to women but guys, if you have an opinion, post it.

Love story litterateur.

I’ve got to admit I’ve read a few of these. Maybe not many that would be found in the “love story” section in a book store, but novels none the less that have some kind of love story entanglement.

Now that I’m putting some thought into it, I’ve got to say I prefer books that have some sort of love story incorporated into them. I don’t necessarily mean it needs to be the main focus of the book, or even a secondary acknowledgment, but it needs to show love in one form or another. I feel that any book that doesn’t display love at one point or another just doesn’t connect as well with the reader. You want to be able to relate to the story and love is just apart of everyday life.

Do you prefer reading a novel with, no romance, a hint of romance, a limited amount of romance, allot of romance, or do you prefer you’re novels draped in romance from head to toe? Why?
