So, what do you think? I have recently been through a situation where a girl and I touched a lot and I felt sure that she must know how I felt, and that because she continued to accept the touching I thought she must feel the same. When I asked her about it she said she "hadn't been trying to start anything", which is one of the great lines of ambiguity, when you know there are reasons why she may not want to tell the truth. She also said she hadn't been aware of my interest and thought we were just becoming good friends! Well, now she knows how I feel and I am trying to deal with it, and we are still friends, but I am trying to understand if what she said could be true - it will help me work out if she lied to me (and then I can try and figure out why). For what it's worth, I was absolutely certain I knew how she felt and waited a long while before making a move.
