This is the scenario, my cousin 50 bday will be celebrated this Saturday, it is a surprise party and it is organized by my cousin 21 yrd daughter. So the daughter was the one sending out the invitation to family and friends of her mother.

I understand im not the one inviting the people, that is up to my cousin daughter in conjunction with the bday lady brother who also knows some friends of her sister.

Out of the 3 people I mentioned above. If you can take a guess who was invited, Tell me which one you believe IT was invited.

Well the ones invited were the 2nd and the 3rd option. The first option was not invited and this is the one I was most surprised of not being invited.

I was really surprised as to how come the bday lady brother best friend was not invited, when she knows him for almost her whole life and also she had gone out with the friend from time to time and he was not invited? I mean the brother is helping her niece organizing the stuff with the guests and the brother never thought of invited his current male best friend? And his sister knows him for so many years.

A girl popular in our school has invited me to her 18th birthday party this October. I'm somewhat close to her and the only reason why we met is because last year, one guy liked both of us at the same time (she approached me, talked to me, and considered me a friend because we both found the guy weird). We didn't talk for nearly a year and we only have talked today when she invited me.

I appreciate her invitation. However, I'm quite undecided whether I'd go or not because the thing that's holding me back is the people attending the same party as well. I know her friends in a surface level (being popular like her) and while I find them friendly, I'm very certain that I wouldn't get along with them because we don't share the same interests.

It's going to be a party and the aim is to have fun... which I think I couldn't manage because the people that'll go don't know me and don't have an idea about who I am. However, I don't want to disappoint my friend with that reason.

Do you think I should go and mingle with her friends there?
Would it make sense if I decline the invitation because of all these thoughts?

Should I go to her birthday party? I'd appreciate opinions.
