People usually already have their minds made up about who they are voting for in presidential elections and debates have nominal impacts.

But last night’s debate was an inflection point important in a very close race. And most analysts think Biden performed absolutely horribly. He looked decrepit, weak, lost at times, etc. Trump had some “Trumpish moments”. He did exaggerate and lie at times. But one thing is for sure: Father Time has definitely laid a definitive claim to one of the candidates and it isn’t Trump.

Although I want Biden out of the Oval Office and straight to the nursing home where he belongs his performance last evening actually made me nervous. Reason being America’s enemies (Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, etc) were watching that and now they are much more likely to get very aggressive in the next 6 months. They know there is a high likelihood Trump will be back and they won’t be able to push him around like they can push Biden. So they are likely going to get much more aggressive while they can.

Also for all you upset leftists out there just remember this early debate was all the Biden administration’s idea.

Fact Check: Bill Clinton Accuses Republicans of Wanting Americans To Be ‘Very Miserable' and 'Angry'?

Claim:

Former U. S. President Bill Clinton said, in 2022: “The Republicans are pretty simple actually, and pretty straightforward. They say, ‘I want you to be very miserable, and I want you to be very angry. And I want you to vote for us, and we’ll make it worse, but we’ll blame them.’”

While stumping for Democratic U. S. House candidate Josh Riley at a campaign rally leading up to the 2022 midterm elections, former U. S. President Bill Clinton allegedly let loose a volley of accusations against Republicans that was destined to become a meme.

"The Republicans are pretty simple, actually, and pretty straightforward," Clinton allegedly said. "They say, 'I want you to be very miserable. And I want you to be very angry. And I want you to vote for us, and we'll make it worse, but we'll blame them.'"

Clinton did indeed say these words. At a midterm election campaign rally in November 2022 for Democratic House candidate Josh Riley in Hurleyville, New York, Clinton prefaced the remark by saying, "I'm here today because I think this is really one of the most important House races in the entire United States because of who you are." He went on to describe how he saw the Republican campaigning formula to a laughing crowd:

Supreme Court Rules In Favor Of Discrimination Of Same-Sex Couple

The Supreme Court on Friday greatly expanded the rights of people who want to discriminate against same-sex couples in a case involving an amateur website designer who was never even asked to make a website for a same-sex wedding.

In 303 Creative v. Elenis, amateur web designer Lori Smith asked the court to grant her the right under the First Amendment to refuse service to gay and lesbian couples due to her Christian religious beliefs. But Smith’s request was wholly speculative. She had not been hired to make a website for a same-sex couple and, therefore, had never refused such work. In fact, she’s never made a single wedding website.

Despite the underlying claim being totally made up, the court sided with Smith’s religious liberty argument. In a 6-3 vote, the court’s conservatives ruled that a civil rights law in Colorado that bars anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination violated Smith’s First Amendment speech rights. In doing so, they made it much easier for businesses to discriminate. A new wave of litigation further expanding discrimination is likely to follow.
Smith had claimed that Colorado’s anti-discrimination act, which prohibits denial of goods, services or facilities “because of disability, race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, national origin, or ancestry,” violated her First Amendment rights by requiring her to take commissions with what she said was a message she did not agree with — specifically, websites celebrating the weddings of same-sex couples.

Most in US say don't ban race in college admissions but its role should be small: AP-NORC poll

As the Supreme Court decides the fate of affirmative action, most U. S. adults say the court should allow colleges to consider race as part of the admissions process, yet few believe students’ race should ultimately play a major role in decisions, according to a new poll.

The May poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that 63% say the Supreme Court should not block colleges from considering race or ethnicity in their admission systems. The poll found little divide along political or racial lines.

But those polled were more likely to say factors including grades and standardized test scores should be important, while 68% of adults said race and ethnicity should not be a significant factor.

The poll reflects general support for affirmative action even as the future of the practice remains in doubt. The Supreme Court is expected to rule soon on lawsuits challenging admissions systems at Harvard University and the University of North Carolina. With a conservative majority on the court, many college leaders are bracing for a decision that could scale back or eliminate the use of race in admissions.

Americans’ views on race in admissions — that it should be permitted but only be a small factor — generally line up with the way colleges say they use it.

Many colleges, especially selective ones, say race is one of many factors that officials can weigh when choosing which students get accepted. They say it is not a large influence but may sometimes give an edge to underrepresented students in close decisions. Colleges defend the practice as a way to bring a wide mix of students to campus, saying racial diversity benefits all students.
