For context, it was really hard to meet up because of both of our schedules, so we agreed I'd meet her as she was getting out of work at 9pm. We did hang out in her car and we cuddled and made out. And I stated that I'm saving sex for marriage because of my religious beliefs, and she didn't try to push past my boundaries.

Based on a conversation I had with my friend. Because different people have different cultural traditions as well as different personal beliefs. But they intersect in different ways.

For example, for me personally, I believe in saving sex for marriage, but I don't believe in traditional gender roles. I believe in equality between men and women.

I think a lot of people assume that people who want to get married are traditional. But that is not always the case. I'm not traditional at all.

NOTE: For the purposes of this poll, let's say that "traditional gender roles" means the man asking the woman, the man paying for dates, the wife staying at home and not working, the wife having children, the husband being a provider, etc. Basically all of the stereotypes you can think of. But if you see yourself as traditional, you don't necessarily have to believe in every single thing that's listed here. This is just a general guide. Feel free to clarify your views in the comments.

If you check all of the boxes for "traditional" but you don't believe in marriage and you prefer cohabitation instead, just vote for "traditional.". I'm not splitting hairs between the two.

Like it says in the title, I’m a guy who’s 27 and I’ve never dated. I have only kissed a girl one time and I’ve also only had sex once and that was 5 years ago. The night that happened was the only date I’ve ever been on, and I’ve been concerned that my lack of experience with both dating and sex will be a turn off for most girls as most of them in my age group have at least a decent amount of experience with both and they won’t be too interested in being with a guy who doesn’t. To make it worse, I still live at home with my parents and I don’t have a social circle, I only have 1 friend who I hang out with. I just feel like my dating prospects are really low when all of this is added up. And just to add, no I’m not saving myself for marriage or the right girl because I wouldn’t have had sex when I did if that was the case.
