I doubt any of us who've been given explanations were happy with them or given closure from them. You just kinda grumble along for a few weeks obsessing over those stupid reasons they gave. The few times I've just been told something like "It's just not working out or I don't love you anymore." Without them explaining further and leaving, really helps me put the clues together faster. By day two of the break up I had fifty reasons why it wasn't working. By day five I never wanted to see her again but agreed it should've ended then if not sooner. But spare me every little detail, because even if you don't like it doesn't mean someone else won't. And if I change something about myself it's because I wanted to do it, not because I was shamed or guilted into it. In my mind it's always been better to just leave and say little. But that's me, what about you?
