I think so, every word needs an opposite or you risk being biased to one view.

Some problem words:
Xenophobia, as far as I know there is know opposite to this word, this creates onesidedness in arguments about migration as people can't express in one word; hate or dislike for citizens of a country.

Vegan/vegetarian, "meat eater" really doesn't roll of the tongue. I have heard "Omni" being thrown around however it's not a concrete word.

I made this poll to find out how many vegetarians and vegans are pro-choice and pro-life. Here's the term explanation.

Vegetarian = Doesn't eat meat.
Vegan = Doesn't eat any animal products including meat, eggs, dairy etc.
Reasons for veganism/vegetarianism = E. g. health, environment and animal's rights. Many veggies sees killing animals as morally wrong.

Pro-choice = Supports the woman's right to choose abortion legally.
Pro-life = Opposed to allow the woman to choose the abortion by herself legally and thinks abortion is ending innocent human's lives.

After asking a question about if eating meat should be illegal and had a more nuanced poll about people's reaction I'm going to ask the third question: Is the meat industry as environment hostile as someone claims (why/why not)? I found arguments on the internet. #MeatBan #MeatShaming #Environment

Meat definition = Any animals including fish

Arguments for it's polluting:
* Require a lot of farmland. In addition you can grow healthier food with the same place if there's only vegetables grown according to the pro-vegetarian site "Framtiden. no"
* Less forests and savanna removed because of the need of farmlands; meaning less wild animals in the woods gets extinct
* Animals making methane gasses, ingredients used to make foods for them, fertilizers and transportation of animals.
* Animal rights - they gets to live, stress less etc.
* If less people ate meat, more people would get sick and die since not everyone knows how to live a properly vegan lifestyle which mean less people on earth and more resources to the rest of the population.

Arguments against:
* Growing vegetables still requires a lot of areal, water, fertilizer, pesticide etc.
* Forests would still get removed because of the need of farmland. Not all countries have equally suitable climates and terrain to grow vegetables, so some needs animals. The alternative is importing food from long distances which mean pollution, or very expensive technology like green house etc.
* What do we do with the animals still being alive after a ban? After living generations and whole lives on a farm adapting to living in the wild would be difficult without the proper training. Not as many animals are needed for cheese and milk as meat. Humane?

In Norway there's a huge debate going on now where the left-side thinks both "plane-", "meat-" and "junk food shaming" is necessary.

Plane shaming is the goal to give people bad conscience for travelling with airplanes because of they're polluting. Both meat and junk food shaming is the same thing, but meat shaming is also about animal's rights in addition to the climate debate and junk food shaming is to make people eat healthier so less people gets sick. Sick people costs the government a ton of [tax] money because of we've "free" universal healthcare. There's a movement called "Kjøttfri Mandag" that's all about eating less meat and that's also a movement gradually becoming more popular.

My Opinion:
I think there's possible to discuss the climate crisis and find a solution without shaming or bullying people for their lifestyle choices. Yes, there's very many people who eats meat and doesn't want to become vegetarians. Is it right to bully them, telling them to be ashamed of themselves and should get bad conscience? No, I don't think so. Instead you should focus on yourself and your friends may join your lifestyle if you can show them it's good without shaming them. I think educating people about the environment, a healthy lifestyle etc. would affect their choices more positively than shaming them.

I'm a leftist myself, but I've stopped supporting the left-parties because of restriction of freedom, this shaming movement, family politics, some education policies etc.
