He called the next morning. He came by picked up my laundry and we made plans to meet at 8. I got caught up with dinner at my best friend's place. He text me at midnight. It was a clear message. I told him we would go our own way. He let me go. I saw him the next morning at the casino. I won $300. I was with our mutual friend that contacted me and asked me to go. He wouldn't even look at me.
I found out a week later that he lied to me from the beginning. He was in a relationship with the the woman he shared a child with. They did break up when we were together. He failed to mention that! It's clear he was reacting on the defense for self preservation, no regard to my feelings. Truth came to light.
